Too Much IDP Depth

Postby skip » Wed Aug 30, 2017 8:06 pm

I don't start a lot of team advice posts but I still consider myself a bit of a newbie on the IDP side of the ball. I'm interested in getting some input on who I should consider moving.

We start 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB and 2 Flex. Scoring isn't all that balanced with the offense. I've got a pretty loaded group but I'm needing to get some help at RB and WR.

DL: JJ Watt, JPP, Carlos Dunlap, Myles Garrett, Solomon Thomas, Charles Tapper, Emmanuel Ogbah
LB: Ryan Shazier, Benardrick McKinney, Sean Lee, Deone Bucannon, Justin Houston, Jaylon Smith, Markus Golden
DB: Keanu Neal, Morgan Burnett, Vonn Bell, Jamal Adams, Kurt Coleman, Micah Hyde

Normally I start 2 / 4 / 2 so carrying 7 DLs and 6 DBs probably doesn't make a lot of sense. The waiver wire is barren so this is just about players to look to trade, not release. Back end players (Ogbah, Tapper, Coleman, Golden, etc. seem obvious) but who are players you would look to move. Do I look to trade the likes of Watt or JPP?
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Move Deone. He's had a ton of concussions, always struggle to stay healthy, but is still held in high regard by most owners.

If you can move Shazier at LB1/2 prices, or Neal at elite DB1 values, do so.

These is solid advice. I'd hold onto LB depth, as you'll be hurting for four starters by Week 10. It is a position group that is very volatile with injuries.
Just a guy who loves fantasy football - specifically defense.

Typically, not always of course, DL's take a few years to really get going. If your team is competitive now, I would considering packaging Garrett and Thomas together for something. It depends on what of course, but, rookies tend to be a bit overvalued right now.
