Trade OBJ...Top contender dealing to top competition

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade OBJ...Top contender dealing to top competition

Postby gerg4747 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 3:52 am

My biggest competition in the league is looking for my OBJ. Through a potential 3 team trade he offered Gordon, MT and 2 1sts.

I love OBJ more than most (Giants homer too) but need RBs. Can my team (in sig) survive by making this move? Does it make sense?

His notable pieces:
Cousins
Gordon/Zeke
Dez/Julio/Cooper
Gronk

Note he'd be dealing Zeke to the 3rd team in the deal so I couldn't get him.

In a vacuum that seems like good comp for OBJ. I can't figure out why he wants to do this though.... you could also sit tight with your current backs. Hyde could be good this year and Henry will break out eventually, I wouldn't say you desperately need backs

I'm much lower on Gordon than most, but I'm doing this deal all day and twice on Sunday. I think MT, MGO and a 1st is probably what most OBJ owners would wanna see here. And you're getting another one for free.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

Yeah easy accept for me, even if it is going to the other top team. This makes your team much better, so who cares!

I think you're forced to take Gordon Thomas and 2 1sts due to the value. It would be nice to grab Zeke but it looks like Thomas is coming for the 3rd team? You could try to add to Odell and grab Zeke + Cooper but I doubt he does that since the original offer is already overpaying

I'd take that for OBJ. Why is he selling Zeke and Gordon though? Doesn't seem like he's going to be your top competition anymore.

haven't seen many deals i'd do for OBJ, but this is definitely one...your goal is to make your team better, don't worry about how it might help another team. Agree with others though that this seems a strange move for your "top competition"...
