Gurley or 1.01?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gurley or 1.01?

Postby Mjmart2 » Sun Mar 26, 2017 5:31 pm

I feel out of touch with current rankings because I offered Demaryius for 1.01 and sounds like he is nowhere close to that currently. The other team rejected but said he would do it for Gurley. Its for Team 1 in sig so I would need to go after a RB and Im admittedly a Ram homer...but sounds like all of the experts are saying Fournette is the highest rated back since AP...over Gurley and EE. figured I would check with the masses

...until next season. Barkley and Guice will both be hyped as much if not more than the payers you mentioned above, but that's a different subject. As far as giving Gurley for the 1.01...I might do it, but not to select Fournette. If you think you could move the 1.01 after you acquire it for say the 1.03 and 1.05, or something like that, I'd go ahead and make the deal. Worst case basis you end up with Fournette, and maybe you end up with Davis and Mixon/Williams/ect.

You actually have a very nice win-now team if you can avoid injuries. I wouldn't trade the wr depth away because of that. What draft picks do you currently own? Depending on that, maybe if you can grab a couple first half 1sts to get a Davis/Williams and a Mixon/McCaffrey, you might put yourself into a better depth position, but I really see Gurley bouncing back (he can't get worse, can he??) and you will make a nice run with him.

This is probably a toss up pre draft. After draft, if one of the big 3 RBs (including Mixon here) get a sweet landing spot, I'd assume rookie fever will drive up that 1.01 price to where the owner demands more than just Gurley

I think the 1.01 right now is worth more than gurley and the value should only go up.

Gurley for the 1.1 is a good trade to hit reset. The 1.1 will go up post draft IMO because one of these RB's or Davis will separate themselves with their landing spot and perceived opportunity.

I would take the 1.01 over Gurley but it's close. Really I wouldn't fault you for sticking with Gurley since you're a Rams fan.

This is just so close. I love Gurley but his situation is just awful and when will it get better? Any of the top 5-6 guys landing in the right spot is probably going to put up better numbers than Gurley. I hate giving up Gurley but getting the 1.01 is probably going to be better for you in the long run. Even if you change your mind you could always trade it after the draft when the value will be at its highest.

I'm a Gurley owner and I'd take the 1.01. Not that I don't believe in him. I know situations change rapidly. But I just like the 2 year cushion that the 1.01 can give me. If I see Fournette go out and look bad/run for like 3.5 ypc, I can still flip him for something like the 1.03 the next year. If Gurley runs for 1.03 again he's going to start falling into the 60s in ADP.
