Brown Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Brown Trade

Postby jdomer2403 » Thu Mar 02, 2017 3:22 am

I put brown on the block and talking to a team trying to put a package together for nuk+

The offer I started discussion with is
Give brown and Julius Thomas
Get Nuk Jordy 1.10

Too much?/not enough?

I could also sub out Jordy for Parker or Adams but am in win now mode for another 2 years.

sub in adams instead of jordy and i kinda like it. you are in win now mode i understand but adams is more valuable than jordy plus way younger. having jordy and marshall both is a killer. also i might try to haggle for a better 1st if he has one or for him to add a 2nd as well. but if you cant get it i would take the deal as is with nuk/adams/1.10

If you are in win now mode, I would prefer Jordy. He was the #2 WR last year and there is no reason he shouldn't be a top 10 WR. I do agree that adams holds value and is younger but I would be willing to bet despite the age difference the value between the two is not far off.

Getting two proven WR1s in Nuk and Jordy is better than Nuk + adams in my opinion. This is about winning now vs getting the player (adams) who has more long term value.

I really like that package for Brown (with either Jordy or Adams), I think it is very good value. The only caveat I would have is that you have to like the guys you are getting back when trading a stud otherwise you will be frustrated (I like them, but it will be your team). If you like Nuk and one of the other guys, go for it!

That's pretty good value. Nuk will bounce back and the 1.10 should net you a solid player, assuming you do your research. lol. Then Jordy will be a nice piece for 2 or so more years

I like it. I acquired Jordy after his 2015 injury expecting him to maintain his form this past year. He didn't disappoint. I plan on keeping him in those two leagues so I think this definitely works. Nuk will bounce back as they are looking for a better QB. Like above, maybe try for a better pick since AB is worth 1.01 ++.
