Guess I will roll with he 1.01 as well strictly to due value, but there are many examples of high round RB drafted in the 3rd to 7th up to undrafted that make a name for themselves and produce numbers, Howard like someone said played on a sorry bleep team with NO PASSING game and still ran for the numbers he did as a rookie with John Fox who is known to screw up RB's stats.

There is absolutely no way that Howard will have the value of the 1.01 as we near the draft. He doesn't now either but, for the sake of argument, let's operate under the assumption he is worth 1.01 pick right now. That draft pick will far surpass the value of Howard and is therefor the far better asset.

This is exactly why I make this trade.....even if you do think Howard = 1.01 right now, which I don't. You could trade the 1.01 later for more than Howard

Take the 1.01, you'll be able to get a better player than Howard 5 months from now for the pick. Players will have landing spots, hype will build and you'll be able to trade the pick. Also there's a zero percent chance a pick gets arrested, suspended, etc...

I think you're right being a bit hesitant. Yes, Fournette is seen as a transcendent talent, but again with the bird in the hand theory here... Howard has done it at this level with no real team around him... If Fournette or Cook are your choice, Howard's rookie season would be considered a successful year 1...

Obviously the guy wants Howard badly... See if he'll give you a cherry on top... Just a lottery ticket, obviously not an established guy...

It's a matter of knowing people dude.. Guy obviously wants Howard badly... OP mentioned Yeldon for instance... You think a guy willing to give 1.1 for Howard is going to bat and eyelash at throwing in a guy like that to get his guy?

And let me be clear with the "1.1 easily" crowd. You don't get the field to gauge final results here... IOW if any of Cook, Fournette or Williams end up better than Howard next season, you don't get to claim victory... If the pick is Fournette, then it is Fournette vs Howard, or if it's Cook... etc, etc...
