Reed has quietly had another outstanding season. Reed was leading all TEs in PPG for PPR leagues coming into the week (after leading in 2015). He would rank closer to Gronk than the next tier of TEs if not for his concussion history.

Why do we knock Reed because of his injuries but not Gronk?

I always hear Reed would be great but his concussions but there seems to be no concern over Gronks past.

Because concussions are different than broken bones and whatever else.

He probably appears to be a better route runner because he's much smaller. He might not be far off, but you know what you get with Gronk, the top producing TE. Reed has some major question marks and he's a hard guy to trust due to his injury issues

Gronk isn't exactly ironman himself.

Most football players aren't, but out of the previous 6 seasons, he played at least 15 games in 4 of them and 11 games in another season. He did go through a stretch a few years ago where he seemed to have a multitude of injuries, but for the most part, he plays and he always produces and has done so for a long time. Reed has had one good year previous to this season, which was also the only season he has ever been healthy. I like Reed as much as the next guy, but only having one season of production and health is a little scary

Reed with a grade 3 AC joint separation...most likely will miss week 13, if not more. He is such an dominant player but just can't stay healthy.

Gronk has mostly been healthy. As I said in another post, he's played in at least 15 games in 4 of his last 6 seasons and he played 11 in another. Sure, he's been banged up at times but other than a stretch a few years ago, he's mostly healthy and there's no question that he will produce. Reed produces as well, but he's only ever had 1 season where he stayed healthy. Reed needs to show more than one year of health and production. Once upon a time Julius Thomas was being talked about as the #2 TE behind Graham. Is Julius even top 12 anymore? In the off season Graham was barely a TE1, now look at him. Things change quick in fantasy, but one thing has remained consistent, Gronk produces at a high level and is mostly healthy. When that describes Reed as well, then people can complain about unfair the criticism of him is
