I'm assuming the thinking is that IF Sammy returns this year (which he certainly may), then he could be a huge boon for a contending team

When will people realize Sammy just legitimately sucks? He can't stay healthy and he's on a team that does not and can not effectively pass the ball

I'll go with Sammy as a win now and later. If Sammy returns week 12 he has the juiciest playoff schedule of just about any player in the league. If he plays a repeat of last years explosion is very possible. And I know there are a few ifs in there.

As a Sammy owner in 2 of 3 leagues, I hope so!!!!
It certainly is looking more & more each week that Sammy will return from IR. They don't really have anyone else pressing on IR, I don't THINK. And now that they're actually making a (half-hearted) push for the postseason, it would make sense to activate him

I don't want to say what I gave up for Sammy because I know some league mates frequent these boards, but I bought him last year while he was hurt for about a first and a third round pick value. Still feel great about. I'm a contender and have excellent wr depth so that might have a lot to do with my answer. If I was weak at wr it probably changes things. So I guess roster makeup dictates things as always.
