Tannehill v 2013 rookie class

Postby hvacman » Fri Jul 12, 2013 8:14 pm

Team in SIG.. thinking of using one of my late first rounders to draft Tanny in our upcoming rookie/fa draft. I dont see him making it back to me in the second if he even gets to me in the first. So I guess a better question is where would folks draft him if he was a rookie this year?

I'd draft him ahead of Manuel, who usually goes in the early-mid second round. So late first seems about right. He should be available there, cause some people put too much stock in first-year production and rather draft their shiny new rookie toy who will surely be a Pro Bowler as a rookie.

It doesn't matter what we want. Once we get it, we want something else.

i like tannehill more than the qb's in this draft. i do think tyler wilson may be worth keeping a close eye on, but we likely wont know if he gets the job until after our drafts.

For the team in your sig -- the eight-team league? Forget Tannehill or any other QB in the 1st. Give me a WR or RB who has long-term stud potential. Tavon/CP/Michael/Lacy types.

Considering the 3 QB's you have and this is an 8 team league with only one starting QB required, I wouldn't waste a roster spot on another QB. But if there was a gun to my head I would put it in this order: Manuel, Tannehill, Smith.....the rest
12 Team 1QB PPR
8 Starters - QB 1, RB 2(4), WR 3(5), TE 1(3)

QB - Kyler Murray, Derek Carr, Kenny Pickett
RB - Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Kyren Williams, Travis Etienne, James Conner, Antonio Gibson, Chris Rodriguez
WR - Tee Higgins, Jordan Addison, Michael Pittman, Nico Collins, Rashee Rice, Christian Watson, Jerry Jeudy, Rashod Bateman
TE - Sam Laporta, Kyle Pitts, Darren Waller, Isaiah Likely
Picks - 2.10, 3.10, 4.10, 5.10

Wow, Manuel ahead of Tannehill. That's a first on these boards. :surprised:

I'm a huge fan of his capabilities, and he is a winner. Plus they have been stacking the offense to help him out. Has arguably a top 5 running game, so he won't have to do all the work, and he will get some time to learn and develop. I know it's a ballsy pick, but hey man, go big or go home

8 team league, I wouldn't want Tannehill or any 2013 rookie QB. They should all be on the WW except maybe EJ late in the draft.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'm just looking too far ahead I guess. Plus the fact that I have two late firsts and Manning retiring in the next 2-3 years, I must be over thinking things a bit.
