Kyle Rudolph vs Vernon Davis

Postby FeartheRavens06 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 5:27 am

Who would you rather have? I have Jimmy Graham as my 1 and Davis on my bench. I like Rudolphs upside so I was looking to offer Davis for Rudolph straight up. They seem to be ranked about the same in the 5-7 range at TE

Davis would be my guy. He has top 3 TE measurables and upside. I would wait to see what Kap does for Davis next year.

Me too. Rudolph is on the upswing and Davis is trending down. I have Rudolph Just below Hernandez at #4.

I'd say hold on this move. I see Davis = Rudulph in terms of current value - but it is yet to be determined what the maturation of Kaepernick will do for Davis. Davis physical skill set isn't matched by any single TE in the league and if he is utilized correctly I see him as a lock for top 5 te production. Rudulph is good and has potential but is held in check by Ponder and the playcalling on his team. To say that Rudulph is >>>>>> over Davis is flat out strange and likey biased somehow. If this move is a long term depth move (which it seems to be) as we are talking about a TE2 for your team... then sure, role the dice on Rudulph. But if it is startable depth for short AND long term - I'd say the edge goes slightly toward V.Davis as I see more production coming from Kaepernicks arm than Ponder's.
Truth is found through Evidence.

* Reality (as defined by Webster's dictionary) - A word for things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional ideal of them.

Wow! Looks like Vernon has fallen off the face of the Earth. I would say they are at least equal, with the QB situation going to Vernon, and I'm a Vikes fan. With all this being said, I wouldn't trade Rudolph for Davis, and I would probably only trade Davis for Rudolph, because I'm a Vikes Fan.

I think saying Rudolph is so much higher then Davis is over exaggerated.
