Brandon Jacobs or Cedric Benson?

I'd like to get some advice. Does anyone out there feel that Cedric Benson is worth a roster spot over Brandon Jacobs? I was thinking of trying to trade Jacobs for Benson. Any thoughts?

I'd rather have Benson (even though he still has no team). I'm just not a big fan of Jacobs. He seems too 1 dimensional and now has to share with Gore, Hunter and James. Benson is younger by about 6 months and has a more well rounded RB skill set. I'd rather have Benson and bank on him landing in Oakland (which I believe is very likely).

I'd likley take Benson.

I highly doubt he lands in Oakland. Oakland has horrible cap problems and has to already figure out who they are going to pick up to play MLB, while their starter is in jail/suspended. There just isn't money to spend in Oakland.

I definitely don't like Jacobs in SF, there are just too many other RB's in the mix. Even if Gore goes down, I see them using the younger guys more than Jacobs. IF Benson signs with Oakland (a little more likely now that Tyvon Branch has signed a contract which should give the Raiders a bit more money under the cap for this season) I can see Benson getting a good amount of work this season because I can pretty well guarantee that McFadden will miss some time this year. Maybe I'm wrong on that but he needs to prove it first before I trust him. That's why I feel Benson would be a better use of a roster spot than Jacobs.

They Both Blow and would not waste a roster spot on either one of them even in deepest of leagues(I am in 16 team).

I cut Brandon Jacobs yesterday. I also released rookie RB Edwin Baker in order to make room for both RB Leon Washington and rookie WR Keshawn Martin. I added Washington in lieu of the Marshawn Lynch arrest and pending suspension. I unfortunately could not get a trade done for rookie RB Robert Turbin. I, on the other hand, chose to go with WR Keshawn Martin rather than RB Edwin Baker. I'm in a PPR league and I felt that Keshawn Martin gives me a little better chance at fantasy viability now and in the future. Thanks to everyone who has commented on my forum topics.
