Quick vs. Childs

Postby mnpacker » Fri Jun 01, 2012 1:46 am

Both are available in rookie draft, currently at 2.12 for league in sig. I have the 3.05 pick. The owner of 3.01 and 3.02 has told me that either of the picks will be available. I'm trying to decide if I should trade up for one of these WR's or stay put and hope one falls. The problem is that I can't decided how to rank them. Quick is raw and Childs is coming back from injury. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

While I like Childs, I have to go with Quick here. He's not suffered the injury setback that Childs did and was (apparently) drafted to be the Z in St. Louis, which means he'll be featured. Quick is the safer bet, but I could see a scenario where Childs explodes.
The Great Old Ones

I'd take Quick by a fair margin in this H2H.

QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt
WR: Julio Jones, Dez Bryant
TE: Rob Gronkowski

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any willing trade partners. Quick was taken at 3.03. Now I just need to wait for 3.04 to pick, then I'm OTC. I leaning toward Childs, but wonder if I might be able to trade back, obtain an extra pick, and still grab Childs. I also like Pierce, who is still on the board.

neither of them are worth trading up for, so I'm glad you didn't. I seriously won't know until maybe 2 years from now which one I prefer :shh:

I would be happy to have taken Quick at that spot.

Childs is getting overrated in these parts. I get that he was a nice prospect before his injury, but patella injuries are tough ones to bounce back from.

I'd much rather have the higher rated Quick, who has the potential to be a No. 1 WR on his team. I don't trust Minnesota to give us two viable WRs at this point.
Team 1, 10-team 0.5-PPR
QB (1): Richardson, Watson, Purdy
RB (2-3): Walker, Swift, Dobbins, R. White, Mitchell, Gainwell
WR (3-4): Hill, Godwin, Aiyuk, Flowers, N. Collins, Doubs, M. Wilson, Shakir
TE (1-2): McBride, Goedert, Okonkwo

I would have snapped up Quick without thinking about it.

I actually took him with the 1.10 pick in 2 rookies drafts this year already.

Being compared to T.O. , Vincent Jackson and a group of others I strongly expect him to be the WR1 with a Tall Bradford throwing to a Tall Quick.
