Josh Allen

Postby Gator Sens » Wed Mar 20, 2019 5:51 am

How does everyone feel about Josh Allen moving forward? Is he a legit up and coming fantasy QB/good buy low? The league I'm in is not SF either.

Is someone shopping him in your league? Price? He wouldn't see your starting lineup very often and to be honest, I wouldn't want you to pay L. Jackson + for him. Not sure that answers your question though. He sure does have some nice rushing potential. Very curious to see his Year 2 development as well.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

Someone in my league is trying to get 1 of my 2020 1st round picks for a pretty solid package and Allen is in the package. I really want to get Murray but I don't think it will happen with how late my 2nd rounders are. I assure you, Jackson is not going anywhere ha ha

Would be interesting to see the offer from your league mate. I would humbly also suggest you mention in your signature how many players you can "keep" and how many rounds your draft is. The number of solid keepers on that roster is easily over 20. If you are getting close to the limit for 2019, not sure I'd want to be taking on more players and creating more tough keeper decisions.

In a 16 team league, having 3 young solid QBs would be nice, because it guarantees some opponent (maybe even in your division) would suffer during bye weeks. The dynamic in a 12 team league is probably different. There are presumably many teams with > 2 starting QBs.

We can keep 30 players. We do a 5 round rookie/FA draft, where our rosters swell to 35 and then you have to cut back to 30 by the start of the NFL season. Cuts are tough but I have 3 open roster spots as of now to even get to 30.
