Who holds more value? Julio vs DJ?

Postby BHerm24 » Thu Jan 24, 2019 8:58 am

Which side holds more value? Julio Jones vs David Johnson? Julio is coming off a really good year, DJ is coming off kind of a disappointing year. DJ is younger but also will have a new HC and not sure how he will be used. Reaching out to see if you guys see something I am not in DJ.

They are close but I prefer Julio even at his age.

I would think Johnson holds more value due to age, position and lack of competition. I think most would look at last year as a transitional team year for Johnson. Julio is fantastic but getting older. I think his last big trade value was last year.

DJ. the pass game was not a threat at all in 2018 and Djs usage was maddeningly awful.

new coach wont make the same mistakes the one year wilks did. and we can only hope and pray rosen makes the pass game respectable this time around. in a down year he still had almost 1500 yards and 10 TD compared to a 2nd best career season for Julio where he saw the 2nd most targets of his career,2nd most yards, 2nd most TDs, and most 100 yard games of any year in his 8 year career. Julio just turned 30, DJ turns 28 during this upcoming season. i think larry fitz is not the norm in regard to career length at wr and expect julio to play 4 more seasons at most. RB points are a lot harder to come by imo and if i think DJ and julio score similarly over the next 3 years (i do and would expect dj to outperform julio in the 2021,2022 years for sure) then i want DJ.

only way i think i take julio is if its a must start 3 WR and only a must start 2 rb.
