Chubb ($8) vs Conner ($5)

Who do you prefer in half PPR from 2019-2022 on a $200 budget? 10% salary increases annually.

Posting salaries isn't very helpful without knowing the cap. $8 vs $5 is negligible if the cap is $500. It's a big deal if the cap is $30.

Regardless, unless the cap is crazy crazy low, this is Chubb very easily for me.

It’s a $200 budget. I updated in the original post.

surprised people loving Chubb that much.
Conner was top 2 RB only behind Gurley before he went down with injury, tied with Kamara at the time, and it's well-know Steelers OL, probably one of the best OL for RB.

what's wrong with you guys.....

heads up chubb, more stable situation, higher draft pedigree, less injury concerns. all around safer with a (slightly) lower ceiling, Not much difference between the two though same tier for me

Sure, if we were talking about redraft.

Situations change and the Browns/Steelers oddly look like they're heading in opposite directions, not to mention the large talent disparity between Chubb and Conner.

Steelers OL was enough to make D.Williams put up top 3 RB numbers during Bell's absent, Conner's first starting year already out perform Bell's Rookie year.

With Conner very likely repeat Bell Steelers record, (which he already has during his first starting season), choose Chubb over Conner is pretty much saying take Chubb over Bell if Bell still a Steelers

We’re comparing the two from 2019-2022 though. Chances are by 2020 or 2021, the Steelers o line is completely different than it is now, AB is with another team and Big Ben is retired. DA and Conner put up those numbers with an o line that’s largely in its prime, and Big Ben and AB keeping the defense honest.

The Browns have an offense on the rise and a decent o line, and Mayfield should be a stud QB for years to come.

From a dynasty perspective, the Browns appear to have a brighter future, which should translate to more production from their RBs.

Not to mention, Chubb has higher draft capital and is widely considered to be more talented than Conner.

Steelers OL has made through a lot change since 2012, but here we are in 2019, 7 years after, Steelers OL is still one of the best for RB, it's also the offense scheme heavily involved with patient RB who can catch. this part probably wont change much as long as tomlin is in charge

Big ben retire and AB leave is probably happening sooner than 2020 tbh, so ya, i do agree that part is going to hurt conner production, especially not having any decent QB. they really should let bell go earlier and go all in on Cousin when they had the chance. Let's go JUJU~!

Conner total 1470 yards and 13 TD, 55 rec, played total of 13 games (3 sit and 1 bye)
Chubb total 972 yards and 8 TD, 22 rec, played total of 10 games (started week 7, minus bye)
Chubb total 1145 yards and 10 TD, 22 rec, played total of 16 games (include his non-starter week)

Keep in mind, everyone thought Bell is generational talent and yet Conner outperform his rookie year, yet people is questioning Conner's talent, ironic.

I do think Chubb is probably 2nd best bruiser runner after Zeke since Lynch left Seahawks, but i dont think Conner is any less talent than Chubb overall wise.

Idk who was on the line in 2012 exactly, but the three key players: David DeCastro, Maurkice Pouncey and Alejandro Villanueva have been staples for years.

Also, the Steelers backfield wasn’t viewed as a fantasy goldmine until Bell’s second year in 2014. Rashard Mendenhall and whoever else they had may have been RB1s at certain points but they had nowhere near the level of fantasy production that backfield has produced every year since 2014. So any discussion prior to 2014 is kind of irrelevant as they didn’t have any sort of special system that churned out top 3-5 backs every year.
