Manning or Keenum

Postby Jcedwards » Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:07 am

Who is the better bye week fill in for next week and the better backup for the ROS?

- Manning: he was just dropped. So he is a free pickup.

- Keenum: would trade 2020 2nd (projected late) for Keenum and 2019 early 3rd (3.1 at the moment).

I know neither are exciting options, but both are cheap or free and would be a capable starter for ROS if needed. And does it matter that I already have Barkley and OBJ from the Giants, so do I really want 3 from the same team?

Id go with the Free Manning if I had to pick.

I like him better anyway.

Thanks. I know free is always better, but I wasn't sure if Keenum was a better option gong forward if needed. I only need 1 for next week with Mahomes bye, but I would like to have a capable backup the ROS in case I needed to turn to one of them again.

Stick with Manning, he gets to face Tampa, odds are its going to be a shoot out.

It wouldn't be for this week, but for next week. I have Mahomes for this week and every other week except next week. So Manning is playing PHI, while Keenum is playing PIT.

Was able to pick up Manning, so looks like I will roll with him next week. Thanks for the replies.

Giants are heating up and the Eagles are demoralized and their secondary is in shambles. Go with a Free Eli. I've seen you post a few times worried about Mahomes getting injured but I think you're stressing about nothing. Besides for last night going up against the best defensive front in football I've hardly ever seen him take hits, he's 22 and in his prime physically so it's unlikely he gets hurt. Enjoy the #1 QB and don't lose any sleep over an irrelevant 1 week fill in.

Also a 2020 second could be nice if that draft class lives up to the high so keep it.
