Re: Boyd vs Cooper
I would easily rather take Amari.
Re: Boyd vs Cooper
I'll sit and wait for all the Boyd lovers
Re: Boyd vs Cooper
Honestly not a fan of either one but I'll take my chances with Cooper surprisingly. Boyd is a big Slot receiver and that's about it. He's having a breakout year playing the the slot and letting AJG take all the coverage. I'm not convinced Boyd is anything other than a #2 on a team until proven otherwise.
I don't think Cooper is very good either but at least he's going to be thrust into a role that forces him to either succeed or die as the #1 for his team.

What I have learned on DLF this week...
Boyd > Davis
Davis > Cooper
Cooper > Boyd
Boyd > Davis
Davis > Cooper
Cooper > Boyd

Corey Davis? He has now had 2 good FF games in a year and a half. Not sure how he's above either of these guys, but, to each their own.

Re: Boyd vs Cooper
Because his arrow is trending up, higher prospect than both of the other WR's coming out of college and has all the skills required to be a top WR. Boyd was absolute garbage his first two years which is perfectly normal for a WR because it typical takes 2-3 years to adjust to the league. So not sure why everyone is holding that against Davis especially sense his rookie year was injury riddled. However, Tyler Boyd is a big bodied slot receiver not a #1 like Davis who is benefiting from typically worse corners in the slot as well as defenses primary concern of AJG and Mixon. Davis on the other hand is receiving 31% of his teams targets which is second highest only to Dhop. While that hasn't translated to fantasy success yet it is an indicator that its to come just like 300 carries for a RB will most likely result in a great fantasy year, trust the process of evaluating player's future succes not the box score. Pooper just can't beat top corners in the league and has struggled when the #1 for the team and that's easily evidenced by looking at what games/defenses/corners he's had good games in vs bad games for the past couple of years.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 12:19 pmCorey Davis? That's my logic but to each his own

Re: Boyd vs Cooper
Not sure Davis was a higher prospect than Cooper. Cooper was a top 4 pick, and was rated much higher than Davis by NFL.com as a prospect. Much higher. Cooper was a 7.13 rating and Davis was a 6.26. Davis is receiving a ton of targets, and doing very little with them. As a matter of fact, his efficiency in his first two years is very poor. I liked Davis coming out of college, but he has been very disappointing. He looked good last game, but has been extremely inconsistent, albeit so has Mariota and the entire offense. I hope he can get it going, because I really liked him.Titans95 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 12:41 pmBecause his arrow is trending up, higher prospect than both of the other WR's coming out of college and has all the skills required to be a top WR. Re: Boyd vs Cooper
Davis would of had a pretty good game against Dallas too if Mariota didnt miss a wide open (and I mean wide open lol) throw to him in the end zone.

Re: Boyd vs Cooper
I’d take Cooper with caution only because his QB & playcalling have been suspect. Assuming Linehan continues to get him the ball, Cooper.
Re: Boyd vs Cooper
Boyd. I know people are dumping on Boyd after the last two weeks for being AJG reliant...but he's still outscored Cooper in that time.

Re: Boyd vs Cooper
My point is more that Cooper's production over the past two weeks has been worse than the relatively down production from Boyd that people have used as proof that he can't be an NFL WR1. If I wanted to analyze box scores I'd point to the fact that Boyd's scoring 5.7 PPG more on the season than Cooper..and I'd also mention that's about 2 ppg better than Cooper's best season so far.

Re: Boyd vs Cooper
Making the case that Boyd is a WR1 by comparing him to Amari is laughable. I guess everyone is a WR1 then
