Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
From a dynasty perspective, would you do this trade? Total rebuilding year in 2018 so think of it as their prospects only in 2019-2021.
Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
I think Goff and Mahomes are fairly close and Chubb makes up that difference easily

One QB League? Go Chubb and Goff.

Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
Chubb is worth more than Mahomes by himself if you ask me
Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
I was debating this trade prior to Jacksonville trading for Hyde. Luckily I made it as I doubt I'd get it now. Mahomes looks amazing still but if Chubb can be an RB1 it is well worth it. A little worried about his lack of pass game usage but he seems to be a beast at the goal line on an ascending team that could have a top notch defense relatively soon. My guess is that his floor is Jordan Howard and his ceiling is a top 5 RB1 workhorse if he can regain his 2014 form.
Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
It's hard to project a rookie's ceiling but he'll need to be getting 50-60 receptions per year if he wants to be in the top 5. I think Duke hampers that still.ajf235 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 5:17 pmI was debating this trade prior to Jacksonville trading for Hyde. Luckily I made it as I doubt I'd get it now. Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
I'm talking long-term ceiling. He was the best RB in the country prior to tearing up his knee three years ago and appears to show a lot of that explosiveness from 2014 back. If he can reach that level again, I could see him being one of the better runners in the league and a touchdown machine, but yeah he's not getting 50-60 receptions per year with Duke there.Titans95 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 5:42 pmIt's hard to project a rookie's ceiling but he'll need to be getting 50-60 receptions per year if he wants to be in the top 5. Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
I realize you were saying long-term. I was just making an observation Duke will need to leave town for that to happen. He just signed a 3-4 year deal I believe so it may be when chubb is 25-26 before he gets those receptionsajf235 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 6:01 pmI'm talking long-term ceiling. Re: Goff + Chubb vs Mahomes?
Crowell had 41 receptions one year while sharing the backfield with Duke and Leonard Fournette was essentially a top 5 back on a per game basis last year. I don’t think it’s completely out of the question to see Chubb 275-300 Carries for 1,300 yards and 35-40 receptions for 300-350 yards and 10-12 TDs, even while splitting with Duke. He had a 66% snap share last Sunday, which was higher than Carlos Hyde had all year and played a bunch of the same snaps as Duke, with Duke lined up wide and Chubb in the backfield despite negative gamescript. If he could maintain that type of snap share and continue getting 2-4 targets per game (while improving his catching/route running and all goal line work) I could see him being an elite RB1, maybe not Gurley/Bell level, but peak Fournette level seems plausible.Titans95 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 23, 2018 4:27 pmI realize you were saying long-term. Goff and Chub, even in SF. In 1-qb it's not even close.
