Thielen or AJG

Postby Dunville » Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:29 pm

I never thought I’d be comparing these two.
PPR

Who is the better fantasy asset over the next two years in terms of points. I have the opportunity to maybe acquire one or the other.

Please consider their relative costs too.

Sorry for the way it was worded.

AJG would cost 2 1sts
Thielen one 1st

FWIW I went down the thielen route for a single first

The post suggests that AJG would cost 2 firsts and theilen 1 first? If so give me Theilen all day! The dude pry has the best hands in the NFL.

Yeah kind of a weird way to word this post... I'll treat the poll as Thielen + 1st vs AJG

On their own, AJG > Thielen... but with the extra 1st on his side, Thielen + 1st > AJG. Obviously it can depend on how early/late the 1st is, and either way I think a lot of this comparison just comes down to which player you believe in more. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

QB: Hurts, Russ, Carr

I assumed this meant a trade off AJG with two firsts for Thielen and a single first... Green is better in a straight up trade of the WRs.

This needs some clarification.

AJG>Thielen, but considering the relative cost I'd take Thielen easily. Wouldn't trust the poll results because I'm guessing a number of AJG voters weren't clear on what you were asking when they voted.

I'd rather have Thielen in a straight up trade. 2 full years younger and is playing at a higher level than AJG. I get that AJG has had a better and longer career but I see no reason why Thielen will not continue to outproduce AJG moving forward. He's garnering more targets than anyone in the NFL and is on a much more dynamic offense than AJG
