These polls often come down to timing. I can tell you I would have voted Mahomes at the draft, in week 10 last year, now and this time next year. He is just ... better. Until recently I haven't posted much on this forum (it was just "our league board") but I showed my very strong support for him back in July.

I liked Watson coming out just fine, too, but he's closer to a Trubisky type than the hail mary offense he was lobbing up last year.

Mahomes will dominate this poll due to the reactionary aspect of fantasy, but I would've chosen Mahomes over Watson at their respective prices any day even before the season started, and maybe even if given a straight up choice. I don't know, just didn't buy the Watson thing.

Recency bias is strong.

Preseason everyone was salivating over Watson coming back and picking up where he left off. Will be interesting to see throughout the season if it ebbs & flows from game to game.

It's pretty funny how people were crowning Watson as the QB1 in dynasty last year after a handful of games. And now he has one bad game and Mahomes has one good game and everything flip flops. I think both are the future of their franchise, but not sure who I'd go with if I had to pick between the two.

Always wasn’t a fan of Watson and love Mahomes. Watson has the weakest arm in the league and won’t be getting more luck Hail Marys. I drafted Mahomes last year plenty of picks before Watson went anyway.

our league was the oppo: watson went 1.11 in my draft last year, i got mahomes at around 2.10.

i take mahomes because he's younger, and has the pedigree--but they've also catered that team to suit his strengths and to allow him to thrive.

I'm taking Mahomes based on his LACK of injury history compared to Watson. I've had a lot of opportunities to add Watson but 2 balky knees at his age is enough to scare me off. I'll gladly take the next talented QB (Mahomes, Goff, Wentz, etc).
