Conner After Yesterday's Performance

Postby dunkat » Mon Sep 10, 2018 8:20 am

Seeing Conner exploded yesterday, what does that do to his value? Found a thread from last week that talked over his value being a 2nd or Conner owners looking for a 1st. Does this solidify him as the back there long term, say Bell doesn't return, or is now the time to try and sell him?

I also feasted with Conner in all my lineups yesterday and have no immediate plans to sell him. Yes, his value will take a hit if and when Le'Veon returns, but with one important exception: the Bell owner in each league will pay a premium for him as a handcuff. I also think it is worth a gamble that Bell holds out 'til Week 10 in order to become a free agent next year and by then Conner will have had a chance to establish himself as the heir apparent. His teammates are high on him, he's really good at it, and his future looks bright. What's not to love?

Valid point. The longer I was thinking the more I'm agreeing but didn't want to make any short sighted roster moves.

I started the thread last week. In my opinion Conner has some value even when Bell returns. Guys who don't go to training camp frequently wind up with nagging injuries. Conner might get significant usage even after Bell comes back. As long as he shows well while Bell is out, his dynasty value for 2019 skyrockets.
QB - Lance, Winston
RB - CMC, Swift, Walker, Sanders, Robinson
WR - Metcalf, Higgins, Godwin, Thomas, Jeudy, Wilson
TE - (no TE requirement in our league-but flex eligible)
