Honestly who really knows. But the safe money was already on Cook BEFORE the injury to Guice. So that money just got safer.

All else being equal, have to defer to the guy who's shown the ability to do it at a high level and who's currently healthy.

Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
Cook for me and its not close, Guice we got a glimpse at 1 run in the preseason, Cook was the higher draft prospect coming into the league and backed it up with 3 1/2 games.

Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
Guice is the slightly better runner but Cook is dynamic out of the backfield.
Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
Cook, not really close IMO.

Cook.

Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
I feel like in a couple years when Guice is healthy, has a season under his belt and Chris Thompson is a free agent this one is going to be really close.
However, right now Guice is out for the next season and Cook has proven it in a 4 game sample size last year. Cook is simply the sensible logical choice here.

Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
Cook by a good chunk for me. Very even runners, slight edge to Guice, but Cook's 3 down ability and flashed his playmaker skills in a few games last year is huge.
I had Cook above Guice before Guice's injury. This just makes it more so as now the risk of "not looking the same" is a wash

Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
I'd say Cook is a top 7 or 8 dynasty RB. Guice is just outside the top 20. So pretty big gap between them.
Re: Battle of the ACL? Dalvin Cook vs Derrius Guice
Cook has already proven the ability to come back from the injury and still look like his old self....Guice has not done that, so it's gotta be Cook even if you think Guice is a slightly better RB before his injury. Any season ending injury has the potential the player comes back looking like a shell of their former self. Even if other people have come back from an ACL does not mean Guice will.

Did Cook tear his ACL in college?CubfanAA wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 11:05 am Cook has already proven the ability to come back from the injury and still look like his old self....Guice has not done that, so it's gotta be Cook even if you think Guice is a slightly better RB before his injury. I don't think the ACL should change anyone's opinions of the two. Whoever you preferred pre ACL tear, you should continue going with that guy.
