Penny then Michel then Rojo
Re: Penny vs Michel vs Rojo
Other than Barkley, I wouldn't make any assumptions of drafted order at top 5. They're all pretty close together
One league of mine went Bark, Chubb, Michel, Guice, Penny, Royce, Rojo
My other main league was Bark, Michel, Guice, Penny Royce, Chubb, Rojo
My own personal order is Bark, Guice, Penny, Michel, Chubb, Rojo. Guice and Penny I have a bit above Michel and Chubb who I see as dead even and then Rojo below that but very, very solidly above any other option like Royce or DJ Moore, or K Johnson

Re: Penny vs Michel vs Rojo
I'm looking at this a lot since I have the 1.01 and the 1.05 picks this year. I'm leaning Chubb, who may get off to a slow start but has the better skill-set IMHO than others not named Saquon. Am waiting to see how things shake out in preseason games, which will tell us a lot.
QBs: Patrick Mahomes, Trey Lance, Tua Tagovailoa
RB: Jonathan Taylor, Joe Mixon, Saquon Barkley, JK Dobbins, James Conner, Travis Etienne, Tony Pollard, Brian Robinson.
WR: Ja'Marr Chase, A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel, Jaylen Waddle, Chris Godwin, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chase Claypool, Chris Olave, Odell Beckham, Josh Palmer
TE: George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, Taysom Hill, Trey McBride, Isaiah Likely
PK: Nick Folk
(IDPs, start two per week per position):
DL: Danielle Hunter, Myles Garrett, Alex Highsmith, Aidan Hutchinson, Chase Young,
LB: Roquan Smith, C.J. Mosley, Logan Wilson, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoa
DB: Derwin James, Jeremy Chinn, Xavier McKinney, Jalen Pitre
* Ten team league started in 2014.
** 40 player roster, 30 Keepers per season.
*** Red denotes 2022 draft pickups.

Re: Penny vs Michel vs Rojo
I rate Penny 1.2 and Michael 1.3 in this draft and there is decent drop off after Penny. Rojo is not really in the equation between these two.

Re: Penny vs Michel vs Rojo
People settling down from the draft hype. Michel was the RB3 predraft by a lot of people and after the initial shock of the patriots drafting him his stock is rising again. Penny was the RB4 some had him RB5 but just about everyone had him over Rojo.BusinessIsBoomin wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 7:34 am A day after the second round of the NFL draft had this exact poll on DLF in exactly the opposite order... what has changed since then?
Anyone who is trying to take Rojo at 1.03 range is someone who watched some cool highlight clips on youtube and see #25 with dreads and immediately start fantasizing.

Rojo
Penny
Michel really lights it up when I watch him play, and think he is criminally underrated in an offense that produces a great fantasy RB each season. Pats didn't use a 1st on him to play Rex Burkhead as the starter. Given, it will be a RBBC in 2018 at least, but still believe Michel is in store for 200+ carries this season, and could become a bell cow sooner than later.
Rojo isn't anything special to me, and i'm not sure he can handle a season of NFL play, but he produced annually at USC and looks shifty. I'm not a fan of the Jamaal Charles comp, but he does look a bit like Dalvin.
Penny is great athlete, though I don't think he is very talented, and is working with terrible oline. If he had a great oline, i'd be more excited about him. His college tape showed a one cut runner that would excel in a gap scheme. Not gonna have huge gaps in Seattle.

Re: Penny vs Michel vs Rojo
I don't buy Michael is criminally underrated. I have him 1.3 in this draft. He does get marked down some due to system by some just like some downgrade Penny due to perceived O Line weakness in Seattle. Lines change quickly in the NFL, see Todd Gurley's year over year performance.gogobradyarm wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:20 pm Michel

I have Penny 1.2 in this draft so we are seeing the tape differently.
Penny Led all 58 NCAA RB's studied in yards when contacted at or behind the line the scrimmage. He had an amazing 3.32 YPC in this key stat the NFL loves. (Ranked 1 of 58) Barkley by comparison rank 57th of 58 at a measly 0.42 Yards when contacted at or behind the line of scrimmage. Penny also led the top 58 in explosive plays. 31 carries of 15 or more lines.
Here is a link to an outstanding in depth look at Penny.
