I'm actually pretty high on Hyde but only on a gut feeling ha. I can see Tyrod throwing it his way a lot, think he'll contribute quite a bit.

Mack is in by far the best position to be the starter.

And I think Collins is in much better position to be the starter than Mack too.

My bad, should have said " 3 down" starter.

Collins is already a starter but looks to be a 2 down player. He is certainly the safest play in this group although his reception ceiling looks to be in the 20-25 range max.

Don't see how thats really the case...Colts just drafted one of the more dynamic scat backs in Hines and every report has been very high on hines so far in OTA's, I'd rather take the RB that was actually good last year as a 1st and 2nd down guy then a guy that isn't even the guaranteed starter for that...

Gimme Collins with only Dixon coming in as the satellite back here and there. Mack just got added competition with Hines and Wilkins, and Hyde is the starter now but with Chubb coming in could be a true timeshare by mid season. Plus Duke taking a few too.

Nothing wrong with your philosophy. When it comes to 2nd tier backs I tend to be more aggressive. Mack is an intriguing player IMO and has breakout potential as a sleeper given his skill set IMO. Indy's line upgrade and Luck's projected return have Mack's arrows pointing up.

Time will tell obviously but his upside looks to be low end RB1 for dirt cheap by fantasy standards. I would compare him McKinnon at 1/4th the price as a one of the better sleepers this year.

Regardless, any team counting on any of these backs as a primary weapon is speculative at best.

Fair enough but if all three were on the draft board Collins is by far the safest pick and still has high RB2 upside, Dixon is his really only competition for 3rd down work and he was PFF's highest graded runner last year, he's good. Mack had like 4 or 5 big plays and then got stuffed at the LOS every other time. My main problem with Mack is people on the forum are saying he is worth a backend 1st round pick and some have even said they would take him of Johnson and Freeman, that is not even close to dirt cheap. If you can get him for 2.05 or later by all means take that dart throw but people are practically anointing him RB1 status
