Spencer Ware
Re: Spencer Ware
Late second for me...he could potentially go somewhere in free agency but as of now he has not real value unless Hunt gets injured.

Re: Spencer Ware

Re: Spencer Ware
Gotta wonder who the 1 person who said a 1st is?
If that's the case I guess any starter must be worth 2 1sts?

Re: Spencer Ware
If you have an owner worried about a Hunt injury, maybe a 3rd. Otherwise, less. I own Hunt and have no interest in Ware.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
Re: Spencer Ware
I have Hunt and Ware. He’s a drop candidate for me but I’m holding for now as a handcuff. He’s worth a 3rd maybe but if someone was trying to get me to pay a 3rd I’d probably pass

Re: Spencer Ware
Voted a 3rd as he is a guy who he a rounded game, isn’t ‘old’, and has an expiring contract upcoming. He should have worth to the Hunt owner unless benches are super thin, as we know anything can happen on any given play, that offense gives production, and he’s shown capable already. It was a bad injury, but such is the risk. In a non-IDP Draft, those picks are darts generally anyway.
Re: Spencer Ware
I wouldn't be surprised if Ware ends up pissing off a lot of Hunt owners this year...
Re: Spencer Ware
An ample comparison and just as likely.

Re: Spencer Ware
I imagine it would have to be a pretty shallow league for Ware to be nothing but waiver fodder. He’s more proven, and proven solid, compared to many other options. He lost his job due to injury, otherwise would have likely maintained a role, and serves as a quality handcuff to Hunt at the least. The fact there is Free Agent opportunity upcoming adds some additional intrigue, even though one certainly cannot expect a lead role.
Guess I’m just surprised someone would so confidently discard him, below even a 4th round. Feels like there is something more to it...
Re: Spencer Ware
Maybe if I owned Hunt, then I might pick him up, but even then I'd rather have someone on my bench with more upside. I'm sure he'll sign with another team next year, but if you're expecting him to be a starter or anything more than a backup, you're going to be disappointed. I'd rather take my chances with a 4th round WR/TE/QB who has even a little upside, even though I know I'll probably end up dropping them at some point anyway.FiremanEd wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 6:45 amI imagine it would have to be a pretty shallow league for Ware to be nothing but waiver fodder. If I ever have to rely on Ware starting for me, that means my team is in bad shape to begin with...so I'll take my chances and let someone else roster him.
Re: Spencer Ware
I feel compelled to offer the opposite view here, Goddard. Ware is the definition of an upside end of roster gamble. He WAS likely lined up for a pretty decent workload. He’s got the confidence of Reid, and Reid isn’t going anywhere. If Ware is healthy, I think he’s the clear 2nd most valuable back on the Chiefs, and would take on a heavy touch count if Hunt were to get injured. This is a back that fell to the wayside because of a PCL, not because of a lack of ability.
Bottom line, he’s an incredibly affordable RB that could see a huge touch count in one of the biggest upside offenses in the league. I don’t understand the view that he’s lacking upside compared to other waiver wire guys (if you’re in a league where he’s actually on the waivers).
