It's Kittle for me, for many of the reasons listed above (most notably his coach/qb tandem, his decent rookie showing and his superb athleticism).
Also, a reason not yet listed: Kittle looks like THE big redzone option on the 49ers. There are other big redzone options on the Bears.

Re: Kittle vs Burton
Anyone worried that Kittle is a 5th round pick and easily replaceable? Just look at Trent Taylor (looked good last year but they drafted a better slot guy in Pettis, in the 2nd)
Or would you rather have a young TE that’s done ‘developing’ and was paid a nice chunk of change to be an offensive piece in what looks like a much improved offense under new leadership by a offensive guru

Re: Kittle vs Burton
I’d argue that Burton still looked a little rough around the edges. He definitely looked good, but from what I recall was still known for making some simple mistakes vets shouldn’t often make, like failing to drag his feet near a sideline or looking upfield too soon. So...if he’s really “done developing,” that sort of sucks.TB3falcons wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 9:01 pm

I’d argue a player should never really be done developing, but that’s a different argument to make.
Anyways...Kittle is ALSO “an offensive piece in what looks like a much improved offense under new leadership by a offensive guru.” A (definitely) more proven offensive guru with a (somewhat) more proven QB.

Re: Kittle vs Burton
They looked about the same last year yet kittle was a rookie. Plus Jimmy g is way ahead of Trubisky.
Re: Kittle vs Burton
I think there can be a case for both honestly
Burton looked the part last year when he got the chance IMO. He did get paid handsomely this offseason, so CHI obviously has big plans for him, but they also have another good TE there in Shaheen. Burton is also an unknown when it comes to being a full time starter.
Kittle was impressive as a rookie (2nd best for fantasy I believe) and showed real chemistry with Kittle down the stretch. SF also didn’t add a TE in the draft to compete with Kittle.
I think they both will be good, but I believe you can get Kittle for cheaper than Burton. My dilemma is do I take Burton with 2.01 or wait and hope to land Kittle at 3.03 in the rookie/ FA draft? Not sure that Burton will be there at 3.03 honestly and maybe not even Kittle.

Would you package my 3.03 with a 2019 2nd (will probably be mid to late) to move up to 2.07 and snag Kittle or Burton there? Or even try to package my two 3rd round picks this year (3.03 and 3.06) with a small piece for 2.07?

Yeah I think both Kittle and Burton are worth 2.04ish range so unless you have a guy you really really want someone at 3.03

Re: Kittle vs Burton
Guy didn't want to trade any of his 2nd round picks. My 2nd round pick is actually 2.04 now though instead of 2.01. I finished 9th in the league (8 make playoffs), but I won the consolation bracket, so I got the number #1 pick, but only in the first round. Other rounds count as place finished in regular season (for the 4 teams that didn't make playoffs). So knowing that I have 2.04 now, would you take Kittle or Burton there now based on their value being around 2.04, or would you still try to grab someone else and get one of them at 3.02 (moved up 1 spot based on finish)

Re: Kittle vs Burton
It depends on who is there at 2.04. in an 8 person league I could see both burton and Kittle being available at 3.02 so I'd probably go for a top 8 RB if he's available or a top WR then pray one of them falls to 3.02. Based on the fact both are on the waivers and its an 8 person league I don't think people will be clamoring to get them in the 2nd roundJcedwards wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 7:55 amGuy didn't want to trade any of his 2nd round picks. My bad, If Anthony Miller or Gallup is still there I'd grab them before I grabbed Burton or Kittle to be honest and just pray I get lucky. Thanks. After some trades, I have 2.04 and 2.07. Looking at targeting Sutton at 2.04 (probably a long shot) and Kittle/ Burton at 2.07
Still can’t decide which one I like better though. Might not have to decide because 1 may be gone by my pick.
