Re: Rojo vs Penny
Penny all day. bigger back, more talented back. ROJO won't be able to carry a full time 3 down back role. he aint big enough. landing spots are arguable. crowded mess in TB but easier division to run in. Seattle O-Line has a history of being bad but it's currently on the rise. returning IR guys and a full season with the new LT brown.

Re: Rojo vs Penny
RoJo for me.
Draft Capital: close enough to where I wont give either a real advantage here
Team: I like both situations but give me the Bucs where Koetter likes feeding a single RB and the offensive line isn't as much as a catastrophe as Seattle.
Players:
RoJo, USC, 5'10/205, 76% vert, 20 years old: speed/quickness jumps off screen, explodes through hole, surprising balance, good vision, avoids first tackler via laterial cut, quick accelerator, tough runner. 1st Round Grade.
Rashaad Penny, San Diego St, 5'10/220, 4.46 40, 25% vert, 64% broad, 22 years old: awesome vision, runs too high, smoothly bounces forward off cut/subtle elusiveness, bad pass pro, falls forward, runs through arm tackles, not particularly powerful. Worry about how much the San Diego St system elevated him as they perpetually put out historically productive RBs. Round 3 grade.

Re: Rojo vs Penny
Who's grade? Also, Rojo ran a slower 40 (and had 7.14s 3 cone, 4.26 short shuttle, 9-6 broad jump.) All poor, especially at his size.Chwf3rd wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 3:47 pm RoJo for me.

Those were my own pre-draft grades and scouting reports. I'm hesitant to take RoJo's pro day numbers at face value given the injury from the combine.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 3:56 pmWho's grade? Re: Rojo vs Penny
RoJo for me too - but I also concede this is simply a matter of opinion.
I just liked RoJo better in the predraft process and an 11 pick difference is kind of a moot point when it comes to draft capital.
I also know I will not get either - so I don't really care, unfortunately.

Re: Rojo vs Penny
I don't think many people had Penny as a 1st rd grade but I have't heard of anyone have rojo as a 1st round grade.....Also Rojo is 6' tall not 5'10.Chwf3rd wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 4:04 pmThose were my own pre-draft grades and scouting reports. Re: Rojo vs Penny
I think I've made my opinion on Penny pretty clear in the Guice vs Penny thread lol and Rojo is much much much lower than both of them.

Re: Rojo vs Penny
It's not really a loose term. A draft expert is someone who studies the NFL draft, and/or gets intel from sources inside organizations. It doesn't mean a draft expert is some magical wizard with a crystal ball who can predict the future, just that the person is highly plugged in to what's going on, and knows the trends from past drafts, etc.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 7:31 pmPretty loose term. Re: Rojo vs Penny
Yeah, the problem is they are plugged into as much misinformation as information. Teams don't show their cards. They are magicians, showing an ace of spades, waving their hand in front of it and all of a sudden it's a two of hearts.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 9:21 pmIt's not really a loose term. Re: Rojo vs Penny
I understood that, sorry. I just have this quirk about mainstream media because I think they are there to feed the masses as much misinoformation as information. Whenever I hear the term "the age of information", I counter with: It's also "the age of misinformation". It's a double edged sword.Chwf3rd wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 10:07 pmThat was in response to someone saying that nobody had RoJo with a 1st round grade, not an attempt to say that RoJo is good because these people said he is.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 7:31 pmPretty loose term.
