Watkins value 12 team PPR?

Postby Section700 » Thu May 10, 2018 8:42 pm

Just took over a really bad team, and this is one of the few trade pieces I may have. Who or which picks could I expect to get in return?

I Think a 1.5 or 1.7
16 Teams PPR 6pts TD (QB,2RB,2WR,1TE,3FLEX,1DT,2DE,3LB,2CB,2S)

Mid first is probably right but I wouldn't pay quite that much.
League 1: 12 Team League (0.5 ppr WR/RB, 0.75 TE)
QB: Dak, Rodgers, Jimmy G
RB: Henry, Mixon, Swift, AJ Dillon, Jamaal Williams, TDP, Zamir White, Dontrell Hilliard, Hassan Haskins, Joshua Kelley, Chris Evans, Jaylen Warren
WR: JJefferson, AJ Brown, Deebo, DJ Moore, Keenan Allan, Russell Gage, George Pickens, Isaiah McKenzie, Westbrook-Ikhine
TE: Dalton Schultz, Logan Thomas, Daniel Bellinger
D/St: 49ers, Cowboys

League 2: 12 team (28 roster spots) Superflex/TE premium (qb 4pts per TD, all others 6pts per TD, WR/RB 0.1 ppc and 0.75ppr, TE 1.5 ppr)
QB: Rodgers, Stafford, T. Lawrence
RB: javonte, ETN, Eli Mitchell, AJ Dillon, Michael Carter, TDP, Marlon Mack, Jaylen Warren, Darrel Williams, Kene Nguwanu, Trey Sermon
WR: J. Chase, Tee Higgins, Mike Williams, KJ Hamler, Calvin Austin 3, Danny Gray, Erik Ezukanma
TE: Schultz, Fant, Evan Engram, Jelani Woods, Noah Gray, Durham Smythe, Josiah Deguara, Brycen Hopkins

Unless you're getting a top-7 pick, don't bother.

I'd rather own Watkins than Royce Freeman or any of the WRs in this class.

Ok thanks guys, I was thinking the same and even willing to take a low 1st but no one is biting so I’ll just hang on to him

He's a good guy to have in a rebuild. He's just a little older than Calvin Ridley, and immensely talented. Let his situation shake out and you'll be thrilled to own him in a year or 2.

You aren't going to get a player thats as young and has as much upside as sammy does through a trade so for that reason I'd hang on to him and see how he performs this season. People forget how good he was before he got hurt and people also give Ajayi a free pass for being underused in Philly but Watkins doesn't even though he went to just as complicated of an offensive system the week before the season started... He's got a whole off season to learn the offense and just got paid big so they obviously plan to use him

Great points on age and situation. I do have a few pieces so I might be able to compete in 2 years if things break right, just getting anxious that I don’t really have any picks to work with this year!

The whole appeal of drafting a rookie is that you got him for extremely good value, when you trade an already existing asset to acquire rookie picks you're trading for "potential" and you already lost the value of getting a rookie cheaply. My philosophy is to always make trades that sees you trading away "potential" for proven, if the potential comes to fruition you still got a proven asset for it, if the potential busts then you still got a proven asset, win/win.
