Before the Combine many people had Mark Andrew very highly rated. After the draft and Baltimore pulling the double-dip TE is Mark Andrews a forgot player that will have free value. He went underrated in my rookie draft.

Would you take Mark Andrews over any of my 4 current TE's?

Are you being serious? Just surprised since Gathers is a hype darling with no one blocking him. Even if he's not good, he's worth holding onto to see if someone takes the plunge on the hype.

I'd take Andrews over Vance, but probably not Butt and Gathers.

Hype darlings come and go. Vance has a chance to be the starting TE in Pittsburgh and unlike Gathers, he's actually caught passes in the NFL before.

Sure, but we all know what Vance is, and unless it is 2TE, it isn't impactful for fantasy. The point is cutting Gathers now when the hype has a chance to get out of control before we even find out if he's good is potentially a big missed opportunity.

That's why I love this forum, we get to hear other opinions when we often are already set on ours. Maybe it's just me, but when I think of Vance I think "hands of stone". That may be a distorted view I have of him, but that's always been my opinion of him. By far Gathers has the most opportunity, but you guys are right he's unproven. Just knowing how often the Cowboys involve their TE in the passing game, I can't imagine they wouldn't have picked one early in the draft or signed ASJ or someone else, unless they had high hopes and belief in Rico.

So, for me it's Rico > Andrews > Vance. As for Andrews, he can ball and he's not a known to be a great blocker from what I've read. So he might actually be the better TE to own in BAL for fantasy

The problem with Andrews is that the Ravens have never had a dynamic offense ... I could envision a scenario where he’d be he receiving weapon & Hurst is the balance TE ... but just not on the Ravens. I don’t see the volume ever being there for him.

Just took Andrews at 3.12 in a TE-Premium contract/salary cap league (not in sig)

Not thrilled about him, but if he can develop into a 50-650-5 guy, he'll be worth starting 8-10 games per year!

Vance McDonald is just not that good. I'm a 49er fan and he's inconsistent as it gets. Stiff upright player....occasional flash but not worth it. I'd go Andrews here. Jesse James isn't so bad either.

as a steeler fan i can assure you that you will never see a high end season out of a pittsburgh TE so Mcdonald is a roster clogger. they have jesse james and in the past they had one of the best TE in the league for years and years and barely threw him the ball (HEEEEEEEAAAATTTTTTHHHHHH)
