Jordan Wilkins is Melvin Gordon Lite

Today at work, I've been watching Jordan Wilkins film. The man is a very skilled back, and honestly reminds me a TON of Melvin Gordon. You can tell he isn't quite as explosive and has less long speed, but he has very similar moves and is able to create something out of nothing, and create 12 yards out of 5 yards, just like MG3. His film against Bama is quite impressive.

He should be the #9 RB in every rookie draft, after the big 7 and Freeman.

He will be the starter in Indy by season's end.

Reminds me of marlon Mack in the sense that he wows you one play and leaves you scratching your head the next 2.

Eh, it's certainly not good but he ran 4.51 at pro day so if he's a 4.55-4.58 guy I'm ok with that - especially given his price. He definitely isn't slow on his tape.

Honestly It's hard to really judge a guy based on his 40 time...so much of that is technique compared to actual speed, especially speed in pads

People who draft Colts RBs are going to be upset at how many touches they give to Robert Turbin.
It's very possible that he is the one in line for the 'run for 1 1/2 yard into back of the O line' old Frank Gore role. Except this year there should be more holes.
Except for the fact that they are rookies, there's no real reason to believe that in terms of being an effective NFL RB that Hines or Wilkens are significantly better than Turbin, or even Christine Michael for that matter.
Mack is a little more special, he's the only one I'd invest in more than a flier.

Traded back from pick 4.05 for 5.05 and 2019 3rd and 4th AND STILL GOT HIM! I can't believe a got a possible starting runningback in the 5th round of rookie drafts...that is practically free, I'm so stoked about it. to be able to have a flier that could seriously become the next Aaron Jones for free sit on my taxi squad until/if he breaks out is the epitome of value. I'd much rather have Wilkins who has the upside to have 12-15 carries a game vs taking Hines in the 3rd round to have the upside to be a lesser tarik cohen....I doubt Hines can even beat out Mack for 3rd down duties.

I think that's debatable...Gordon has had to deal with a terrible O-line and to be honest his huge workload inherently lowers his efficiency

Marlon Mack is this years Alvin Kamara...The new staff will use him much better, with Gore gone and Luck back...I believe in the talent I saw him flash last year when he got the chance...Wilkins is JAG, as is Turbin...Mack has a chance to be special...

What Alvin Kamara did last year was unprecedented....there isn't "this years Kamara" bececause no one will come close to that efficiency....also Mack had a 3.9 YPC that isn't even close to Kamara...I bet Wilkins has more touches by years end than Mack
