Tier 1
1. Saquon Barkley - Gurley and DJ are probably the only RBs I wouldn't trade for him
Tier 2
2. Derrius Guice - maybe not an immediate 3rd down contributor but he's clearly the 2nd most talented back to me
3. Ronald Jones - awesome blend of twitch and violence plus landed in a great situation with solid draft capital
4. Sony Michel - I'm buying when the Pats spend a 1st round pick on a RB, not really worried about the committee as the efficient touches that come in that offense overcome the maybe reduced quantity
5. Rashaad Penny - Not a huge fan of the player but high draft capital on a pretty good offense and it seems like he's walking into a workhorse role
6. Kerryon Johnson - he runs a little upright and the situation is muddied but i dont know why they would trade up for him in the 2nd if they didnt plan to give him significant usage + good offense with lots of scoring opportunities + seems like Detroit is trying to run a little more
7. Nick Chubb - I'm not a fan of him as a player and he walks into a bad situation with 2 capable backs in front of him
Tier 3
8. Royce Freeman - less draft capital than the other backs + a lesser talent IMO but really good opportunity
Tier 4
9. Mark Walton - bad situation but betting on the talent plus could overtake Gio for the satellite back role
10. Nyheim Hines - dont love the player but good draft capital + situation and could be useful PPR satellite back
11. Jaylen Samuels - has the potential of essentially being a TE/slot WR you can play at RB and has an outside shot at becoming the starting RB if Bell leaves next year
12. Ito Smith - I see him as Tarik Cohen but he may have to wait a year for Tevin Coleman to leave

I really hope Guice goes at 1.02. Sitting at 1.03 and 1.04 and hope to snag Penny and Michel.Ricky1234 wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 10:02 amX2Titans95 wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 7:41 am Wow I really hope Penny falls to me at 1.05 based on everyone's view so far.
1. Barkley
2/3. Penny/Guice
4. Michel
5/6. Rojo/Chubb
7. Freeman
8. Kerryon
9. Hines
10. John Kelly (limited value but I'd be ecstatic to get him in the mid/late second if I owned Gurley)
The question for me is penny or guice on 1.02
Re: Ranking the rookie RBs
I bet he does but if he doesn't I'd be really happy with him and either michel or Penny if I were you. I think those 3 are in the second tier and then another drop to the rojo/chubb/freeman tierscilly wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 7:27 pmI really hope Guice goes at 1.02. Re: Ranking the rookie RBs
Saquon
---
Guice/Penny - fine with either at 1.2
---
Chubb
Freeman
Michel
Kerryon
R. Jones
---
After the top 8, I don't see much difference between #9 and #19. I'd much rather trade back for future picks and grab few of these guys with upside rather than take a John Kelly, Hines or Ballage *gags* with a 2nd round rookie pick
---
If I had to rank them:
J. Kelly
Chase Edmunds
Hines
Wilkins
Walton
Ito
Jackson
Samuels
Ballage
Bo
Scott
I've found that late in drafts I usually deviate from my rankings and swing for the fences, targeting guys with the easiest path to relevancy (i.e. Bo if Zeke were to get injured or suspended)
