Thomas due to age. They should have similar value this year.

Thomas. Much younger, and Julio is on the decline. He's still a beast, but his production has peaked and i now slowly regressing. In 2 years MT will hold more value, and I don't see much, if any difference in production that would make Julio worth having to help a Championship Push over the much younger player.

What happens first though, Julio fades away or Drew Brees does?

That's what it comes does to for me. I'll gladly move back, collect next years' 1st (then some) and be happy with Don Julio

He's still the best WR in the league imo

I'd take MT over Julio based on age.

Julio for me. He is going to keep posting 1400+ yard seasons for another couple years at least. I don't see Thomas ever doing that, and Brees' age makes the difference in age between the 2 WRs moot.

MT without a doubt for me. He's younger, and I would agree that Brees is also a difference between the two, but it's favoring MT. I don't care how old Brees is, give me him over Matt Ryan any day of the week.

I'm leaning MT here for a couple reasons.

1. Age, MT is 25 vs Julio 29

2. While Brees is getting older I think he has 2 Solid years left and the way MT plays he'll be a new QB's best friend. He will be fed targets around the 10 yard line to move the chains

3. I think last year will be an anomaly for MT's TD production just like it was for Brees.

4. I don't think Julio is necessarily declining but he went from the best OC in the NFL to the WORST. Sarkisian is absolute trash, he took the best offense in the nfl and completely ruined it.

Very well said.

At the risk of sounding like an ageist, I'll take the slight downgrade in 2018 production (maybe not even a downgrade) and gain half a decade in youth.

MT already outscored Julio last year, so not sure there'll be any downgrade. You'll probably get an upgrade in production and get the younger player.

I thought that point was interesting. I think the odds of a receiver having only 3 TDs on 1444 yards are pretty low. Julio is due for a lot more positive TD regression than MT.

Julio for me.

If you want to cite age as the reason - then okay fine; but keep in mind that Brees will be done sooner rather than later and MT has had the benefit on Brees' pinpoint accuracy. Matt Ryan is.. average at best with his accuracy.

I think Julio can perform with a mediocre QB, while I'm not sure that MT's skillset will not suffer greatly.

I'd go MT, i don't usually like the age argument but I've been vocal in saying I think Julio only has 1 more year of being elite and then a big drop in production. MT will outscores Julio this year again and he has the age, I know Brees is old but even without Brees in a few yrs he'll still be a good wr in his prime, meanwhile in a few yrs Julio will be worth a late first maybe early second

MT for me.

For the next year or two I can see them averaging about the same amount of fantasy points per game at the end of the year. MT is one of the most consistent fantasy producers out there and Julio is the polar opposite, due to injuries and inconsistent play. IMO too much feast or famine for your stud WR.

Give me consistency and youth.
