Guice vs. Chubb
Couldn't find this specific player debate so figured I'd start it. If a duplicate, please merge. I think, come most rookie drafts, those of us with 1.2 will be faced with the decision to take Guice or Nick Chubb. I know alot has to do with landing spot and fit with the team, but as of right now who are y'all leaning? Popular opinion seems to be Guice at 2, but I think Chubb vaulted his draft stock at the combine, showing he may be back to the athlete he was pre-gruesome knee injury. I'm voting Chubb by the slimmest of margins.

Re: Guice vs. Chubb
I have Guice at 1.02 and Chubb at 1.03. The draft could certainly change things but until then I feel good about my rankings.
Re: Guice vs. Chubb
I prefer Guice pre-NFL draft, but not by enough to say he's unequivocally the answer. Landing spot will be the ultimate factor here.

Re: Guice vs. Chubb
Although both are unproven as receivers, my analysis is Guice offers more natural ability as a receiver. That is really the defining factor to me today, however if Guice were to land somewhere with a solidified 3rd down back, and Chubb didn't, that would be enough for me to flip.

Re: Guice vs. Chubb
Chubb looked explosive at the underwear Olympics but didn't only a few months before in pads. I'll probs miss the boat on Chubb because I'd want to see him do it in pads with defenders running at him. Not even a big Guice fan but Guice here
Re: Guice vs. Chubb
I think Guice is closer to Barkley than Chubb is to Guice.
Re: Guice vs. Chubb
I like the Guice and Chubb comparissons. Both seem two down hammers with speed, a lot like Derrick Henry in my mind
I think Chubb is getting too high a boost from his combine numbers. His tape from last season looked he was still missing a little and so we put him firmly behind Guice and even Michel. Now, we have some numbers from a non game scenario that contradict what tape says, and we're all on board that Chubb is significantly better? enough to put ahead of Michel and neck and neck with Guice? I don't think so

Re: Guice vs. Chubb
Ahhhh remember Chubbs 15 straight 100 yard + games!
Or his 222 yard game first game back from injury.
Chubb started to return to form this year. I watched every Georgia game and he is very much just as elite as he once was. Had it not been for injury he prolly would be the 1.01 over Barkley. His only thing he needs to do is not be afraid, youll see him sometimes move differently because of his knee, but you could see that fade down the stretch this year. Id prefer Chubb over Guice, but I know Guice is the consensus 1.02 so I wouldn't draft Chubb over him I would trade back pick some stuff up and still get the back I want!
I like Chubbs 6.0 YPC in 2017 vs Guices 5.2

Because they had the same linemen, QB and opportunity and Guice wasn't hurt early in the year ? Do you like Kamara as a runner over Gurley too ?
I think it's fair to say you like Chubb better because of his skills but YPC argument always gets me . Down & distance, clock killing mode, no passing threat ... many things can effect that YPC end result. It's not a definitive stat for me but to each their own.
I try to see if they get what's blocked first, can they make the first open tackler miss second then can they slip off would be tackler or move pile consistently. After that can they make home run plays. A lot of fast guys have great highlight films IF the holes are there for them. The holes aren't there as much and close faster in the pros. Very few are going to rip of 50 yds+ plays in the NFL. That will kill the YPC really quick. Give me the consistently going forward guys even when nothing is blocked there for them.

Fournette, actually, in all probability. If Chubb had never sustained that injury, he would have declared after his junior season.pierson242 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 07, 2018 4:26 am Ahhhh remember Chubbs 15 straight 100 yard + games!

Re: Guice vs. Chubb
Apples and Oranges, IMO. Chubb and Guice are very similar in a lot of ways, obviously Gurley and Kamara are not. We are also evaluating college players, while Gurley just had an MVP like season in the NFL, and has shown to be a 3 down workhorse, whereas Kamara has not.
