Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
Personally I'd take the super athletic, fairly young guy in the NFL with the big contract in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Are you competing? It looks like McKinnon and his new situation make you more competitive now. I mean, so much can happen in college, and any of these prospects can get hurt, damaging their value. Unless it's a Gurley type talent, I prefer the production value and the situation McKinnon is in.

Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
I offered Mckinnon for Aaron Jones + D'Andre Swift. It's also a half ppr for rb's only so that knocks Mckinnon in my format a bit.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 11:42 pmPersonally I'd take the super athletic, fairly young guy in the NFL with the big contract in Kyle Shanahan's offense. How does any form of PPR knock McKinnon down? He's always been a superb pass-catcher, so if anything it should make him more valuable.

because wr's get full ppr but rb's only get half ppr and a lot of Mckinnon's value comes from catches?

Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
There is a high chance McKinnon will end up being another Christine Michael, I'm not sold on him but I also don't know alot about those RBS except Love who I don't rate. If McKinnon was in this draft I'd take him around late 1st early second as a flyer if that helps

Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
Christine Michael? You realize Michael never produced in college, right? McKinnon was super productive in college. Michael also could not catch the ball at all. Not the same type of player at all. Michael was also not given a lucrative contract and basically guaranteed touches due to that.AussieMate wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 6:57 pm There is a high chance McKinnon will end up being another Christine Michael, I'm not sold on him but I also don't know alot about those RBS except Love who I don't rate. Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
But you're asking how he compares to a bunch of devy RBs, so WR scoring is irrelevant. McKinnon's value and pass catching should only be compared to other RBs since they all receive the same .5 PPR.

Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
Right. You have to read between the lines. He is wondering if because McKinnon is a pass catching RB in a .5PPR league, his value isn't given quite as much of a boost versus the 1st and 2nd down RBs who get several more carries per game, but fewer catches. I'm not in a devy league so I can't even pretend to rank them outside of what they do right now, which McKinnon is obviously way above them at this point. I just wanted to get you pointed in the right direction.JJRules wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 7:41 amBut you're asking how he compares to a bunch of devy RBs, so WR scoring is irrelevant. Not sure why people don't think McKinnon is going to be out there on 1st and 2nd down. He's going to get the ball quite a bit. They aren't making him the 4th highest paid RB in the league to trot out there on 3rd and 7. I agree with your statement, but McKinnon is going to get the ball plenty.Gtdano_14 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 12:53 pmRight. You have to read between the lines. I'd lean toward the known in Devy, unless it's a bluechip prospect like Gurley or McKinnon. So much can change between college and the pros

Re: Jerick Mckinnon vs. devy rb's
Using the salary is a bit unfair. How many good RBs are there in the league who aren't on a rookie deal? Skewed fact IMOFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 9:18 pm Not sure why people don't think McKinnon is going to be out there on 1st and 2nd down. He's going to get the ball quite a bit.
