Bucs resign Brate to 6-year deal. Outlook for OJ Howard?

I'm pretty annoyed... but its a pricey contract at 41M over 6 years (18M guaranteed) so maybe they will cut him if he underperforms and OJH does well.

Volatile TD dependent TE. I think that's all he'll ever be. A boom or bust type of play. That's how I view him.

Assuming he stays healthy, I'm betting his value either treads water or slowly declines between now and 2020, when his stock rises on free agency hopes.

I think OJ is a great athlete and will find a way to be on the field. But unless Brate isn't cut they share targets as you already said. Maybe he gets cut in 2 years from now, but who knows... hold or buy low and be patient
