Nick Chubb vs Top 5 Rookies

Postby ktighe08 » Wed Feb 28, 2018 4:23 pm

Every time I read something on Chubb, there is always mention of the knee injury. Why invest a top rookie pick in him? Isn't there more upside from Michel/Jones/Sutton/Washington/Ridley..etc...?? Is Chubb really worth taking with that 4,5, or 6th pick?

I need to watch more of him but I was far from impressed.

Yes. I think he's an NFL back. Dude can tote the rock all day. Decent hands, too. Going to get the goal line carries. He's 227 lbs and a freak athlete. Had the knee injury, but he's 2 years removed from it now. I think he's worth taking at those spots if you need a RB.

After this week, I can’t see him there at 6. I have pick 5 and I’m not holding my breath.

He will be off the board between 1.02-1.04 barring injury or bad behaviour news. RIP 1.05 owners hoping for !

There is more upside from Chubb. Pre-injury Chubb from 14 would have some people questioning Chubb vs Barkley for the 1.1 this year. The upside is that he manages to return to that form and explosiveness

There is also much more risk with Chubb, as in maybe he just isn't the same beast and we've been spoiled by the likes of Adrian Peterson returning to 100% after a serious ACL injury and cases like Chubb's are more the norm

It a classic risk reward decision on him vs the others you mentioned. Chubb has the highest ceiling of any of them, and the lowest floor

100% agree, I was all in on Chubb at #5 but I just traded back because there is no way in hell he is there.

Go watch the Rose Bowl and Natl Championship, you will see good and bad. Chubb is a stud and he gained much of his original from this year, he is faster than you think and and breaks tackles all day. He will need a solid OL otherwise he will get stuck at the LOS but that goes for most RBs

See Todd Gurley and Deshaun Watson. Both highly drafted and had injuries. Chubb will be gone by pick 3/4
