I understand what some are saying in the sense that, from a redraft perspective especially, he often has been seen each year as a tick behind the "all pro studs" at RB, whoever that guy is any given year - AP, Charles, Bell, Zeke, Kamara, etc. But that's his PERCEPTION. In reality, if the career stat lines listed above were the future lines for Saquon, you're telling me you'd be upset?

Btw those lines don't even include any PPR bonus. The dude has 441 catches.
I think you make a great point about perception. I went through this exercise last year in a 14 team redraft at #7 position, wavering between Shady and the top tier WR's. I had the perception that McCoy was always, as you put it, "A tick behind the all pro studs." However, in my instance, that perception came from almost always being in standard leagues where his versatility isn't rewarded and he doesn't get into the end zone as consistently as some of the all pro studs. I also think many have that perception because McCoy always seems to be in the top 5 but rarely the #1. Having that said, I completely agree that you should be incredibly happy if Barkley hits those figures, kinda setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect him to surpass Emmitt Smith before he even gets drafted.

Looking at McCoys stats I do believe I’ve had McCoy every year he had a down year then would sour on him and watch him fall in drafts and then he looks like the next Faulk when I don’t have him..
My view of McCoy is a bit tainted as I’ve been sky high on him certain years and he would have a down year ... Sometimes you always seem to be on the wrong side of a player or a team ..
That said Barkley perceived value is that he’s gonna be the next LT - Emmitt type and hopefully McCoy is closer to his floor then his upside ..

RB Gurley- Bell- Mixon - Conner- M Brown - Burkhead, Warren, Ballage
