Absolutely, he hasn't played in 3 years and has already been putting up consistent WR1 caliber performances with a rookie QB and little practice time. I think he jumps into the Top 10 for Wideouts in 2018.

Don’t think anyone would argue his talent but will he even make it 2018 season before lifetime band?

In a 10 team i wouldn't buy him for that. I'd pay a mid-late 2nd. In a 12 team i could see a late 1st doing it.
I'm an owner, and i hope he breaks out again next year but I'm trying to temper expectations, i would also be a little nervous buying, the only reason i own is because I'm faster to the wire than most.

It's up to you on whether or not he's worth a late First, but that's absolutely what it'll take to buy him. Maybe a bit more.

It's a 10 team but how many WRs per team start?
The more shallow the league, the more you NEED to have a bunch of upper echelon guys to compete. A late first will often bust and when they hit are often just depth players on your roster. Gordon (if he stays clean) is a pretty good bet to be upper-echelon in production. He becomes more valuable the more shallow the depth of the league is.

I just ran the numbers. You're right, demand is higher when there is less supply. You're brilliant!

You're interpreting his statement completely wrong. That said, I disagree with him being worth more in smaller roster teams.

Lol no I didn't.
If you have a league where you start less WR, it's advantageous to have a WR 1/2. Since there the prized commodity of the league; demand is high and there are only so many WR 1/2 (supply).

In a shallow league there is a higher supply of receivers, so less demand

We were referencing a need (demand) for "upper echelon" WR(low supply of them).
NOT receivers in general. :D

Piling on. He is worth a first round pick period outside of the top 4. I'm in a 10 man league and I offered the sink for him, but the owner didn't bite.

He is absolutely worth a late first, but depending on how much of a risk-taker you are in terms of your talent. If all it takes to land a potential WR1 for many years to come is a late first then you take it. But, he has the potential of relapsing (as most addicts do - see my post on him several months ago) so that is the only reason - whether we like it or not - that he isn't going for an early 1st.
