Kamara Value

Postby cweds » Fri Sep 15, 2017 11:45 am

His snap% and touch count week 1 seemed promising. I liked him going into the season but even I was surprised to see him lead the backfield in snaps.

How do we project his value moving forward? Does he have the potential to be a 20 touch per game player? Does he need to be? Should we account for Brees' age when projecting his long term potential?

I don't see why he can't be a CMC type RB. Not saying he'll be as good, but I think he'll be used similarly, especially by this time next year.

I think he's the future of Saints run game.

And wen brees is done, they will lean on him a lot more.

Kamara is a buy for me if I can still get him for late 1st prices. I think AP gets cut or completely ignored at some point this year, and Kamara becomes a high floor RB2 when that happens. It is a virtual certainty that AP is cut after the season, and Ingram wouldn't shock me either considering their cap situation (they have less than $40m in space, and they will need almost all of that to resign Brees. Ingram can save >$4m and AP>$3m if they are cut).

I think he will never be more than a 12-15 carry, 6 target per game player, but with his skillset in NO, taht makes an RB1.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I agree with you guys. As an owner I love his potential and chance at a high work load consider the fading talent in front of him. He's a buy.

I'm picking up Kamara where I can. Love the long term value.

I traded two thirds & a second rd. pick for him & think I got a steal , the Veteran Talent in front of him is the ONLY thing holding him back .

I don't understand the amateur leagues some of you guys play in. Kamara was worth a mid to late 2017 1st draft pick, in a good draft class. Two 3rd's are garbage and a 2nd is a likely NFL bust player. How in the world do you get a stud talent in Kamara for that?

Talent in front of Kamara is not holding him back. Kamara is the talent. In reality, nothing NO had to offer was going to hold Kamara back. AP, what a joke, he is done. Did we not realize that when no one wanted him this offseason?

He seemed to go 1.7-1.9-ish in most leagues. I don't see what he would have done to lose that much value already in any league

I forgot to mention that I gave Abdullah in that trade too , so it was wasn't as one sided as it appeared. It was a trade with a newbie 2 years in the league , BUT my league has been going strong for 25+ years & its not an easy , pushover league.

Abdullah, a 2nd, and 2 3rds is fair for Kamara is fair, I wouldn't call it a steal. I would think most would have Kamara and Abdullah pretty close to even. Moving forward Kamara can be a very successful back in PPR leagues.
