Ishmael Zamora
Ishmael Zamora
I have not heard any news on this guy at all. He was one of my deep sleepers and I was hoping he would replace Crabtree in the future. Nothing happened in preseason game 1 with him. Does anyone have any info on him or is it time to cut bait? I know there are some Raider fans on this board.

Re: Ishmael Zamora
He was listed as the fourth backup to Crabtree on their depth chart. I like him as a prospect, but you should never have much expectations for a flier. It was always highly unlikely that he secures a starting spot this season or replaces Crabtree in the future.

Zamora would have been a 3rd pick had he not been for the video of him beating his dog. I guess beating a dog (NO Fing excuse here) is worse than knocking out a woman (Mixon). With that being said, this dude is the real deal! Not a keeper draft pick, but for a deep dynasty choice that you can place on your taxi squad...the return could be very high in a year or two! I have him.

Apparently he hasn't looked great this preseason. Keeping my eye on him for now but it may never happen.

Re: Ishmael Zamora
He was a dark horse of mine as well, and I had a Google alert set up to help track him. He was okay at Baylor for the 10 games he played in 2016. Much of his success was due to his size and athletic ability. It should be no surprise that Ishmael didn't learn much about route running during his short stay at Baylor.
It may be safe to maintain a Google alert on this kid while he sits on the waiver wire. 2017 probably won't the year that he shows much, and so there should be better prospects to roster for now.
