Team dependent imo. I would lean JMatt if you can start up to 4 WRs. If you are weak at RB though, I would take Hunt as I see him winning the job either this year or next.

I have both but wouldn't trade Hunt straight up for Matthews. But most of my league is down on J Mat.

Hunt typically going late 1st / early second in Rookie drafts, Matthews - I got him for a late third round pick.
Dynasty - 9th year, 12-team, Standard scoring, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX, 1K, 1DE/DT, 1LB, 1CB/S - 25man roster / 6 Taxi Squad
'17 Champ, '18 Runner Up, '23 rebuild

QB Watson, A Richardson, O' Connel (TS)
RB Gibbs, Akers, Dillon Carter, Bigsby, Chase Brown, Mcintosh, Tucker, Hull (TS)
WR Metcalf, DJ Moore, Addison, Meyers, Van Jefferson, Collins, Claypool, Mingo (TS), Hyatt (TS), Wilson (TS)
TE Higbee, Freirmuth, Otton (TS)
K Joseph
DE/DT Hunter
LB Franklin Simmons
C/S James

Pretty even for me. I agree that it's team dependent and would lean towards whichever position I needed more.

Very even but dependant on team needs. For whatever reason, I don't see any league value JMatt as high as his "Startup ADP" is.

I've seen JMatt consistently slip to the 8th+ round of dynasty startups, despite having a consensus 5th round ADP on most dynasty ranking sites.

He's a Kirkland version of Landry, which is exactly what I want in a start 3 WR league.
Team 1 - 12 team PPR - 1 QB / 2-3 RB / 3-4 WR / 1-2 TE / 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE)

QB: Newton / Stafford
RB: Gurley / Howard / White / Riddick / Lewis
WR: Demaryius / Dez / Jeffery / Watkins / Cobb / JMatt / Lee / Edelman
TE: Gronk / Bennett / Sefarian-Jenkins

Team 2 - 12 team PPR - 1 QB / 2-4 RB / 3-5 WR / 1-3 TE / 2 FLEX (RB/WR/TE)

QB: Wilson / Bridgewater / Palmer
RB: Hyde / Martin / Woodhead / Morris / McKinnon / Yeldon / Rawls
WR: AB/ Demaryius / Dez / Alshon / Thielen / Tyrell / Agholor / Kearse / Boyd
TE: Gronk / Kelce / Hooper

Hunt for me. Trust in Andy Reid and what he does with RBs
