Hopkins pretty easily for me. No history of injuries and he's had a monster season already. They're close enough in age for that to matter as well.

Hopkins and not very close.

Hopkins doesn't have the obvious injury concerns and hasn't missed a game his entire career.
Had 800 yards his rookie year, followed by 1,200, and 1,500 yards. Last year had one of the worst QB situation ever and still managed 78/954/4.

Watkins has missed 9 games in the last two years and several more where he was on the field but basically used as a decoy. His best year, he put up 1,047 yards. Last year in 8 games, he only had 28/430/2, which would have been a lot worse than Hopkins' down year.

Hopkins is also only 1 year older, so age doesn't really come into play.

Doesn't Hopkins have a concussion history?

i'd take Hopkins even though I like sammy better, then try to trade Hopkins for Sammy plus

In 2013, he had a concussion during preseason. He then fractured his wrist in 2014, but played through it and had surgery during the offseason to repair it. He then had another concussion in week 2 of 2015, but didn't miss any games. Those are really the only injuries he's had during his NFL career and hasn't missed any games. The two concussions were two years apart and he hasn't had one in 2 years. Not really something I would worry about, especially when you compare it to Sammy's chronic foot issues.

Watkins and it isn't close for me. I would go into why but I feel like I've done it too many times so I'll just link a couple of good articles I like on the topic:

Hopkins: https://www.playerprofiler.com/article/ ... s-profile/
Watkins: http://dynastyfootballfactory.com/sammy ... hing-gain/

Good luck man!

I should mention that I focus on efficiency/talent when I look at dynasty when I'm looking at younger players.

Hopkins for me. I feel he is the better talent and a safer choice. Watkins has potential, but very frustrating to own.

Both are uber talented. However I'll easily take Nuk based on one simple fact. If Watkins gets injured again this year, his value will plummet. If Nuk does bad this year, it'll most likely be due to his inexperienced QBs, so his value will still hold. I own both on one of my teams, so hoping both can have monster years this year.

Moving forward I will take Watkins, I think he is more talented. I tend to gamble on talented players with a injury history. Hopkins is good but I think he put up numbers by being a target monster more so than pure talent.

In PPR, Hopkins gets the easy win for me. He'll simply see way more targets than Sammy (He's pulled in roughly 30% target share each of the last two years. Even if you project out Sammy, he'll be lucky to hit 25% on a team that rarely passes) unless Sammy gets very lucky and the Bills let him go and he lands on a team that will feed him. In standard leagues, it's a toss up for me. Do I take the versatility and athleticism of Sammy or the dependability and size of Hopkins. If I have solid WRs, I probably take Watkins. If I don't and need an every week starter, I probably go Hopkins.
All I Der Is Win - 16 Team IDP League (Pass TD 6pts)

WR - Pittman, Olave, Di. Johnson, G. Wilson, J. Williams, Metchie, Robinson, M. Wilson
TE - Okonkwo, Schoonmaker
LB - Brooks, R. Smith, Phillips
DL - Crosby, Allen, Simmons
DB - D. James, Baker, Delpit
K - Just a stupid kicker

I'm far more likely to have Watkins on my team based on value.
But straight up, it's Hopkins by quite a bit.

Hopkins for me also.
My PPR dynasties (QB/RB/WR/TE/FL):

Under construction...just noticed teams I had shown were very different than where they are now (lots of trading last 12 months). LOL

Watkins for me. I am not really worried about injuries and think he has more upside. The injury prone label gets tossed around way too easily IMO.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

This^^^ I'm a Watkins lover, have him in every dynasty league of mine. Lets just take a look at both of their career best years, when they were both healthy.

Nuk's numbers are inflated due to targets.
2015 AGE-23 HOU 16 GAMES 111 RECEPTIONS 1521 YARDS 11 TD 192 TARGETS

Watkins has played his entire career under Rex Ryan's league heaviest rushing teams. (Except for now!)
2015 AGE-22 BUF 13 GAMES 60 RECEPTIONS 1047 YARDS 9 TD 96 TARGETS

Honestly, please tell me how a healthy Nuk is better than a healthy Sammy. Injuries aside, because they can happen to anyone. Ask Teddy Bridgewater how injuries can occur at any second. I would take Watkins in a heartbeat over Nuk and it's not even close. Nuk had exactly twice as many targets as Watkins and Watkins only played 13 games. If you simply double Watkins numbers due to targets you'll get a stat line of: 120 RECEPTIONS 2094 YARDS 18 TD 192 TARGETS

My conclusion is if Sammy Watkins received the same target share in 2015 as Hopkins, Watkins would have rewrote the WR record books IN ONLY 13 GAMES IN A REX RYAN OFFENSE. (Mic drop!)
