Which Stud WR to Build Around

Postby cazzie33 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 7:54 am

I have Arob but not sold on the future of the Jags passing game. I like Sammy's talent best but injury & contract concerns are big obstacles. T. Pryor has best current situation but is a bit older and will be in his 32 ish age by end of the 5 years. TP also is only on a 1yr deal so we don't where he will be next year (ARob is at end of rookie deal so theoretically he could be moving too, I wish he would truthfully)

Clearly between ARob and Sammy.
I voted Sammy, but I'm open to the injury risk, I think it's worth the talent upside. If you're risk adverse, I can't blame you for going ARob.

Let's not call Pryor a stud. I'd be shocked if he even got a vote (I'm sure someone is going to read this and vote for now). Between Arob and Sammy, I'm taking Arob pretty easily. I like Sammy's talent, but just can't seem to trust him anymore.

Not sure any of these guys deserve the word "stud" associated with them. Good, yes. Stud, no.

With Jax stuck with Bortles and clearly looking to throw less, I think Sammy is the only one with stud upside... but I'm not sure he'll make it.

Hard to trust Sammy right now given his track record so far in the NFL. Knowing that ARob is the guy to build around. Then Sammy. Never Pryor!

I think these players are a lot closer than people seem to think. 5 years is awful long to predict who will be the best value., Pryor being 28 certainly gives him a big negative in that context. 3 years is more reasonable to judge their future value. I do not think Allen Robinson is a special talent nor do I know what Jax future offensive identity will be. Watkins certainly has the talent, but hasn't been healthy. Pryor was very impressive in his first full year as a WR and has all the measurables you can ask for. IF, Pryor has a big year, I can easily see Washington resigning him and if Cousins resigns too, Pryor can certainly be the best value over the next 3 years.

Went with arob, has had the best season out if anyone on the list. And you guys do know he is a FA after this season yeah? I can't wait for bottles to stink up the joint then I can get arob before he signs somewhere sexy!

There's no way the Jags let Arob walk. If they can't get a long term extension ironed out next offseason, they will franchise tag him.

Voted ARob but I wouldn't be comfortable building a dynasty around any of these guys.
My PPR dynasties (QB/RB/WR/TE/FL):

Under construction...just noticed teams I had shown were very different than where they are now (lots of trading last 12 months). LOL
