Terrelle Pryor vs DeVante Parker

Postby RightlegTucker » Sat Jul 15, 2017 4:36 pm

Browsing dynasty rankings recently and these two always seem to be listed pretty close together, back to back in some cases. Who do you prefer as a player and longterm in dynasty?

Short term - Pryor.
Long term - Parker.

Just depends on what kind of team I have.

Pryor is safer. Parker is younger and has the higher ceiling (probably).

A lot will be determined after this year. If Parker breaks out gimme the young guy with the pedigree. If Pryor can show hes a true WR he will continue to hold value but I look for Parker to break away from him this year

I tend to agree with this.

This seems a little optimistic to me. 5 years of WR2 production from Pryor? Based on his 1 year of WR2 production when he got athe 12th most targets for a WR? I will take the under.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I'm not much of a Pryor fan, but while he may have had the 12th most targets, he probably ranked around 30th-32nd in quality of targets.

I have very little faith in Miami every being effective at football. I play dynasty in 3 year windows. Pryor will be much better in the next 3 years. Cousins throws a very good long ball and Pryor is kind of good at catching those.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Pryor. I have little doubt that he'll have another good year with Cousins now throwing to him. He'll be worth much more than what he is now. Parker has shown flashes, but I just don't know if he'll breakout or not. If I was in a complete rebuild, I'd take Parker, but otherwise Pryor easily for me.

Do you guys really think Parker's production peaked as a 23 year old 2nd year player who was hampered by injuries all of last year?

That's about where I am at with Parker. I am still undecided on Pryor but he definitely improved his stock going from Cleveland to Washington imo.

Oh no doubt, although I will take quantity of targets over quality, in general.
I am just surprised that anyone has faith in Pryor for 5 years, considering he has a track record of 1 year, and contract for 1 year. I have faith in Pryor being a good WR2 this year, but he is a question mark after that.

I'll take Terrelle based on the current quarterback situation. That could all change next year, but as of right now, would rather have a guy catching balls from Cousins over Tannehill.
