Who has the higher ceiling? Who will be more valuable in 2019?

All three are very good in my opinion. I think in terms of ceiling, Mixon probably has the highest. I'd say Howard has the highest floor since he's the only one who's actually had a RB1 season. A case can be made for all three as being the most valuable in 2019.

As far as ceiling I have them:
1 mixon
2 Henry
3 Howard

As well but as far as the way I like them I have:
1 Henry
2 mixon
3 Howard

All are great options though

Howard

Mixon

I'm not sure exactly what Howard needs to do better to convince people how talented he is. Maybe the ability to fly or turn invisible on command? I can understand a debate existing between Henry and Mixon but there is a clear gap here for me.

Well Skippy, are you out of your effin' gourd ? A "clear" gap ... why I oughta come slap those fogged up coke bottle eyeglasses off your head so you can see straight ! :geek:

Did I cover all the bases in your Sig  Jk in the previous comment. I don't see a gap as all have a strength over the others in at least one area. Agility and pass catching clearly lean in Mixon's favor. Straight line speed is a toss up between Mixon and Henry. Offensive line nod goes to Henry. Competition for touches right now is clearly on the side of Howard. Proven production also goes in the Howard column.

Personal preference is going to determine where they rank. Long term ppr I'd say Mixon is the better bet, assuming the Bungles address the offensive line issues the next two years. If not it a toss up between all three.

Standard scoring long term I like Henry behind Tennessee line.Murray while holding him back now will extend his career by these couple of years of learning as the backup. Howard will take a pounding with teams stacking the box because of the Bears inept QB situation. Mixon has a bad line but far more help in the Red Rifle and all the weapons around him to keep the defenses honest.

Redraft leagues for this year and probably next year too Howard should be atop this list barring injury. He has an above average line and a coach that will still run in the 4th qtr down double digits. I do worry about Howard losing all passing downs role to Tarik Cohen though. Jordan's hands are bad, I know he said he's working on it but Cohen in a hurry up or needing a big play to get back in the game is going to be hard to keep off the field.

My preference is dynasty league so I have them:

Mixon

Henry

Howard

Create a time machine and go higher in the draft. Then he'll be legit!

Traded Howard in two leagues to grab Mixon at #2 and #3. Unfortunately he went at #2 in both and missed out.

Mixon
Henry
Howard

If only considering this year,

Mixon
Howard
Henry

Mixon

Howard was second in the league in rushing last year, and projects to be the focus of the Bears' offense. He averaged 5.2 ypc with the Bears... He's a proven NFL commodity.

Henry is still behind Murray, though he may be the RB of the future of the improving Titans offense.

Mixon, to my eye is overrated, and a bust candidate. Perine was more utilized by the Oklahoma coaching staff. Mixon wasn't a workhorse back in college, so projecting him as such in the NFL is a stretch, IMO. Not having to be subject to electronic timing at the combine has created the perception by some that he is faster than he is. As a rule of thumb, I add a tenth of a second to any player's pro day 40 time to my evaluation. (has any player ever had a slower pro day 40 time than a combine 40 time?) It also would not surprise me that grown men with families, daughters, in the Bengals locker room (yes, even the Bengals locker room) will not be as welcoming to him as to other rookies. To my eye, Hill is criminally underrated by much of the FF community (he is a TD machine), and Gio, if healthy, is also a quality all-purpose RB. Finally, watching film, I do not see Mixon's ability as extraordinary; I believe both Hill and Gio are better RBs.

I'm not sold on Howard yet, but he probably should have the most value of the three. My concern is that he's a big back that kicks it to the outside way too much and a lot of his yardage was outside the tackles, which is hard to repeat unless your in a Shanahan type zone system. Hill had the same indicator in his big year, as did Gurley in 2015. It's not a major red flag for me at this point, but worth monitoring. The bigger issue for me is that offense is going to be rough and the team as a whole seems likely to be losing a lot of games which will have game flow working against him. I'd be looking to move Howard at his peak if I owned him.

You're probably going to have to hold on to Mixon and Henry to attain any real value. I really like Henry, but Murray is still an excellent RB right now and will limit Henry's upside. I also see the offense shifting to more passing with all the investment they made on receivers this year.

I'm not convinced Mixon is a sure thing. Both Hill & Gio had rough years in terms of efficiency last year and that line is a big ole question mark to me at this point, especially the interior. He may not find many more holes than the other guys. I get that he's a great pass catcher, but Gio appears to be fully recovered and I believe Mixon will struggle to unseat Gio in that role.
