Agreed on Coleman, but as an Abdullah owner, I'm very excited to see what he can do this year. It's definitely a make or break season for him IMO. I had high expectations for him going into last year - one of the most disappointing injuries of 2016 for me.

I feel like Theo Riddick is more 'the guy' than Abdullah is. I don't think either can be effective with a full workload, but in that timeshare, they can both be fantasy relevant. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Abdullah taken off the field in the red zone in favor of Riddick or Zenner.
The standard is the standard.

So if someone offered you Tevin Coleman for Adbullah and something you would take it?

Me personally id pass, I like Abdullah situation better, even though he might be made of glass.

I don't see Freeman going anywhere for a while, where if Abdullah gets off to a good start, he will be the guy.

Riddick is good dong get me wrong, but his stats were up due to Abdullah missing, so people chasing that again might be in for a rude awakening.

Coleman might not be the guy now, but he or Freeman can eventually go to another team. Also, we don't really know that Abdullah will be the guy. I think Detroit will have more of a RB by committee and Abdullah will have little ppr value as long as Riddick is there. And don't forget, Coleman put up some good numbers last year even without being "the guy" and might still outscore Abdullah again this year.

I not here to say you are wrong, just for a nice at work friendly debate.

Yes, Coleman did produce very well last year, but I want to say that had a lot to do with being on a historic 2016 falcons scoring the 7th most points in history.

That would tell me you believe, even with a new OC, that the falcon will produce the same kind of offense?

I don't see that happening again.. in one game last year both Freeman and Coleman scored 3 tds each!!! that's unheard of.

I don't see much of a committee since the lions decided not to draft a RB, and beef up the O-line.

I don't envision that Detroit would see Theo as the future, more so Abdullah since hes only 23 and showing the same burst he did when he was a rookie.

This is the second going the Lions are trying with a back like this, Think Javid best a few years ago.

Since The falcons are gona give Freeman a extension, think they are gona give one to Coleman in the future?
I think not.

This is why I see Abdullah having the better long term value.

Definitely enjoy a friendly debate. I can see your arguments and you make some solid points. But my expectations from Coleman isn't for this year (I was just pointing out that he was able to produce even in a timeshare), but once he goes to a new team. If Freeman is signed to an extension like you say and Coleman walks, he can easily be the #1 on another team and be a solid RB1/2. I just think based on pure talent, Coleman is ahead of Abdullah.

you know, I'm not denying his talent, but I think he gets a lot of leeway for being on such a team like the Falcons, Then again Sanu couldn't really do squat there lol.

The Sickle Cell he has also concerns me as well. So hes limited where can play, didn't he has something come up last year with that as well?

I don't think he can keep up, at least with the Falcons the high TD rate, his yards I can see, hes a great playmaker and was in college as well.

I don't think the brass in ATL is in love w Freeman enough to give him the contract he wants and deserves. Which is unfortunate but puts coleman in a great situation. Coleman is already a back end rb 2 and if he ever does get that number 1 role he has more of a likelihood to be an RB1 imo.
