I'd lean Everett because he was chosen by the current regime.

Gotta go with the guy the coach picked. Higbee might be used as a blocker because he's bigger than Everett and the offensive line sucks so this frees up Everett to run routes.

I'm not completely sold on it being Everett, but I am leaning that way due to the reasons mentioned above.

Everett = 6'3" with 8.5" hands, 239 lbs
Higbee = 6'5" with 10.25" hands, 249 lbs

However, though Everett was the higher draft pick by the new coach, Higbee might still have the advantage here. Everett might be a little faster but Higbee is 2" taller, has 1.75" bigger hands, and is also a converted WR.

One of the cons on Higbee coming out of college was that he was not a good in line blocker. He was/is basically just a big WR. A poor man's Evan Ingram.

I drafted Higbee late last year, or grabbed him off the WW where i could, and im still holding. But if i had to choose just one i would take Everett. McVay basically hand picked him to be the new Jordan Reed.

McVay envisions Everett as Jordan Reed if that helps. Not comparing the players but he wants to use him as he did Reed is Washington. I voted Everett because I think he will get plenty of targets.

from rotoworld:

"Rams TE Tyler Higbee pled guilty to second-degree assualt for his 2016 Kentucky incident.

The news comes on the same day Rams WR Mike Thomas was suspended. Higbee will be in a diversion program for five years and must perform 250 hours of community service as part of his plea deal. He'll be subject to league discipline now that his legal situation is resolved."
