Tyler Boyd

Postby JoeMama89 » Fri Apr 28, 2017 2:43 pm

So, I have Tyler Boyd on my taxi squad from last year's draft. What is his future now with the Ross pick?

Not great news, but I wouldn't panic. I think his game is very different from Ross and should retain a role - or at least the opportunity.

So more likely he needs to overtake LaFell, correct? That was my thought all along.

Be patient. Only his 2nd year. Probably won't help you this year, but he's still worth a roster spot, especially if Ross or AJG get hurt.

Still love Boyd. Boyd and Ross are two different types of WR's. Keep holding boyd. If anything this threatens lafell and helps both AJ and Boyd

I'd be holding him right now. His value took a huge hit but doesn't mean it can't go up if he performs well this year.

X2 Boyd was never meant to be that kind of burner deep threat stretch the field receiver that Ross is. I'm actually of the mindset that this pickup helps Boyd in the long run.
Last year Boyd was listed with a lesser long speed but a good route runner/possession type receiver.

Boyd's value did not change at all for me over the weekend. I think he has a bright future.

Thanks guys. I was not going to do anything drastic. I was just curious what others thought. I have him on my TS for another 3 years so I have time to wait it out.

Maybe not the place for this--. BUT -- just today I was offered Boyd, 1.13, and 1.16 for Crowell and my 1.08. Thoughts--??

1.08/Crowell is the smart play if you are built to win now.

I'd entertain the trade if you are building for 2-3 years down the road and you can use what you'll get at the later picks. Is it IDP league? If yes that affects the decision too because if you are needing a DE/LB then at 1.13/1.16 you can get a top rookie IDP and a prospect at RB/WR/QB.
