Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
If Davis goes 1.01 in your draft, would you rather take Fournette or McCaffrey now knowing that Fournette is a Jaguar and McCaffrey is a Panther?
Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
Fournette still for me. I KNOW that he'll be a workhorse there. It's still a mystery how exactly the Panthers will utilize CMac. They'll definitely use him on special teams and may just give him a Gio role on offense. He's still likely to produce good numbers, but could have a lower ceiling whereas Fournette will have all the opportunity to be the focal point of the offense.

Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
It's a toss-up to me:
LF should get all of the early-down work, but probably lose some 3rd down work to Yeldon. And if Bortles keeps regressing, defenses may start to stack the box, which would not only negatively effect LFs production, but could also lead to more injuries due to the pounding.
McCaffrey should not be a workhorse right away, and may lose some touchdowns to Cam and/or a bruising complementary RB. But if they use him creatively all over the formation, he should still put up decent PPR numbers even with limited touches. This should also lead to lesser big hits and a longer career.
I'm giving the slight edge to McCaffrey at the moment.

Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
they will use him as a primary RB, i think stew will get carries between the 30s and the 3 will share GL looks (CMac passes / Cam and Stew carries)
i think i lean to Lenny and am pretty happy bc i think 1.01 will be CMac in the league i have 1.02

McCaffrey in PPR.
Fournette in all other formats.

Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
Fournette. I don't believe in Cam as a passer doing enough to get McCaffrey touches.
Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
This is my opinion as well.
Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
I have to imagine if bortles flops this year that the Jags take a QB early next year that would drastically improve fournettes outlook. But I really think CMac out produces him this year.
Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
Plus they'll try to cater the team to Fournette as much as possible. They'll improve the line. It's only going to get better for Fournette.

Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
Still Fournette for me pretty easily.
Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
Fournette is the talent I've been looking forward to for years, but McCaffrey is looking really good in my PPR league. I'm really torn between the two, but leaning McCaffrey due to passing down usage.
Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
I'd take Fournette in either format, ppr or standard. Regardless if Fournette is a 2 or 3 down back, he's getting 20+ carries a game. His value should be just fine whether he does more in the passing game or not.
No offense to CMC. I think he's very solid and in a good situation as well. I just prefer bigger backs. They're more dependable in the RZ imo.

Re: Fournette or McCaffrey at 1.02?
I was maybe leaning Mcaffery in ppr but am having reservations. I will have to see how he is used. He needs to get a lot of slot work and maybe 10-15 carries for me to take him over Fournette. Cam never threw the ball to his rb's. Jstew is capable of catching but was, like I said, never thrown the ball becuase Cam just runs instead of dumping it off to his rbs. THe best chance for Mcaffery is if they use him mainly as a slot wr with a few carries a game. BTW Caronlina drafted another RB right after Mcaffery in the 2nd round I beleive who catches passes well. So that leaves me a little iffy on him.

This has me worried a bit. I'm still leaning McCaffery, but why the heck did they take Samuel as well?GreenGold wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2017 2:18 pm I was maybe leaning Mcaffery in ppr but am having reservations.
