Dez vs ajg

Postby nathanq42 » Mon Apr 24, 2017 4:25 pm

Both of their nicknames have e letters, seems like a good comparison.

They are also the "runts" of the OG studs (Julio, ab, dez, ajg)

Who do you prefer and why?
They have very different styles but both have had amazing careers.

I give the edge to green because he is smoother and doesn't rely on physical traits that deteriorate. Unlike dez who's bread and butter is from being bigger stronger and meaner than his corner.

Ajg's style lends himself to higher catches and yards, but dez's style results in more TDs.

Ajg's play style also seems like a more sustainable and long lasting style than dez.

AJG. Dez's physical play will more than likely end his career early than AJG's.

I will also go with AJG. He is the safer of the 2 and not a head case.

I wouldn't say AJ has been more dominant over the course of their careers, as he only has 7,135 yards compared to 6,621 yards (Dez) and Dez has shown to be a better Red Zone feeder. (Granted Dez came out 1 year before AJ)

AJG though, has just been far more consistent, "Mr. 1,000 Yards a Year". Dez has had 3 monster years and the others have been either "okay" or riddled with injuries.

Green, but it's close and I'd take either.

I'll take AJG and I don't think it's particularly close. He's been the far more consistent option and there are no questions about whether or not he needs to recover his value whereas Dez has questions after 2 down seasons.

Nicely put.
AJ for me as well, although Dez can make you second guess that sometimes

I like Green way more than Dez. Green is just better but I would rather have Dez and trade him for Green plus because some Cowboy fan will think Dez is the best wr in the league.

Dez is a dominant wr. Green is quite possibly one of the top 10 wrs I have ever seen. Faster, not as crazy, better hands, better route runner.
