Ebron in danger?

Postby Prospector » Tue Apr 18, 2017 9:04 am

The Lions have sure brought in a lot of TEs during the draft process. They certainly do not have depth behind Ebron but it there much of a chance he gets supplanted? Interested in others thinking...

Don't the Lions like running 2 TE sets and using TE in the red zone? I remember Pettigrew getting a lot of snaps and Fauria as a red zone weapon even during the Megatron years. But yes, Ebron needs to show more consistency especially with his deal coming up soon.

So all the TE visits are probably a little bit of both. Adding depth and adding talent.

Ebron has had drop/concentration issues running back to his collegiate days. Replacing him was never an "if", just a "when" and "how soon".

I jumped off the Ebron train awhile ago. I would look elsewhere.

If they draft a TE, he'll keep his starting job for at least one more year. Not many rookie TEs come in and start right away. However, it would worry me and I would look to sell. I'd probably be looking to sell anyway.
